Csb....a buddy was interning with the public defender that defended him in spokane. Teddy k thought he could trust him and would write him all kinds of shit. He said obviously he was nuts.... but looking back over the past 30 years he wasn't exactly wrong on a lot of his predictions. TK kept writing him long after the case was over. Got his last letter a couple years ago /csb

I see ADX Florence is clearing room. Wonder who it is for?

His manifesto is pretty crazy in that it lies on the line between insanity and familiar thoughts.

Twitter is currently full of MAGAts who are telling everyone that his manifesto was spot-on.

They think that about Timothy McVeigh’s too.

They are scheduled to receive a very rare orange baboon but need a few modifications first.

Great, now it’s going to turn out he faked his death to blow up the entire eastern seaboard because Helobious had to give another one of his monkey paw cursed hot takes.

Yeah, those people are absolute morons.

It’s interesting they let him transfer to FMC Butner. I would have let him rot at ADX Florence. You better believe every elderly inmate at Florence has requested a medical transfer to Butner.

Not sure why Ted got special treatment here.

I don't think it's special treatment.  Butner is the hospital prison, such as it is, as is Carswell for women.  If you're sick enough, you get sent to Butner.  BOP has an obligation not to neglect (entirely) the medical care of prisoners.

His brother tipped off the FBI because he recognized his writing style.  Not sure about the attic.

Bill and Hillary better be looking over their shoulders.

Suicide? He really mailed that in.

Ted has been embraced by various extremists of far right, left, anarchists, eco terrorists, eco fascists, etc. though they focus on parts of the manifesto that agrees with them and ignore the parts that ridicule them.

He hated socialists, Communists, collectivists, identity politics, gay activists, animal rights activists as over socialized inferiority complexes and the primary driver of craziness in the world. He saw the Left as inconsistent with wild nature and human freedom.

Conversely he dispised conservatives as fools who whine about the decay of traditional values while pushing rapid industrialism, technology, and decaying economic growth.

He hated fascism, Nazism, and eco fascism as contrary to nature and overreaching power of the State.

He was closest to naturo-anarchism in his views though he rejected them too. His predictions about AI and fears of it destroying humanity are driving his recent fans but those thoughts aren’t novel and have been out there in Sci fi movies and books for a hundred years or more.

He was a terrorist. Well educated and cogent. A genius mind but suffered terrible lack of socialization as a child; the worst example of skipping grades. Went to Harvard at 16 and the went thru 3 years of MKLtra type mindfuck experiments with a crackpot CIA psych prof. That’s probably where his criminality was seeded. So fucked up.

Good night sweet prince

He was also a mathmagican.  He made people's fingers disappear.

I mean so does Jason Pierre Paul.

How many grades do you need to skip to enter Harvard at 16? Preschool?

It appears he skipped 6th, 9th, 11th. Graduated at 15 as a national merit scholar and was accepted to Harvard.

Actually it was his sister in law Linda who told David (TKs brother) that some of his letters had similarities to his manifesto.

David loved the Big Bend area and had/has? a place near Terlingua. He lived there for a while off the grid before moving to NYC. They eventually built a cabin and would vacation there frequently.

I met David one night at La Kiva.

If you want to go down the rabbit hole, do some research on this shit. I have no doubt this is what caused a lot of Ted's problems

We had a kid like that at my hs who was weird af.  He went to college at 15 because his parents desperately wanted an overachiever.  Apparently a math genius, put him in a history or English class and he was average at best.  He was taking all of his math classes at UTD starting in middle school, but those extra years on the non-math stuff, plus some socialization probably would have benefited him.   He never became a serial killer, so it could probably go either way.

It sure is a good thing the CIA didn't figure out how to weaponize that research, and gave up trying in the 70s.

You just made me think-- you know what sounds like a good Sci-Fi short story? A time traveler from the future? An assassin sent to eliminate the academics whose children will bring about skynet and someone who came to warn us?

I don't know why you have to gender it.

Personifesto, please.

I knew very little other than the movies. When I watched Mindhunter I read a bit more about him, and the manifesto, and would occasionally see some crackpot from different political facets embrace him, even though he hated almost all of them.

The MKUltra experiments were most telling to me. Anyone that doesn’t believe this shit has continued is a fool.

From wiki

In his second year at Harvard, Kaczynski participated in a study described by author Alston Chase as a "purposely brutalizing psychological experiment" led by Harvard psychologist Henry Murray. Subjects were told they would debate personal philosophy with a fellow student and were asked to write essays detailing their personal beliefs and aspirations. The essays were given to an anonymous individual who would confront and belittle the subject in what Murray himself called "vehement, sweeping, and personally abusive" attacks, using the content of the essays as ammunition.[20] Electrodes monitored the subject's physiological reactions. These encounters were filmed, and subjects' expressions of anger and rage were later played back to them repeatedly.[20] The experiment lasted three years, with someone verbally abusing and humiliating Kaczynski each week.[21][22] Kaczynski spent 200 hours as part of the study.[23]

Kaczynski's lawyers later attributed his hostility towards mind control techniques to his participation in Murray's study.[20] During the Second World War, Murray worked with the Office of Strategic Services, a U.S. intelligence agency often referred to as the predecessor to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where he conducted psychological experiments.[24] Some sources have suggested that Murray's experiments were part of Project MKUltra, the CIA's program of research into mind control.[25][26] Chase and others have also suggested that this experience may have motivated Kaczynski's criminal activities.[27][28] Kaczynski stated he resented Murray and his co-workers, primarily because of the invasion of his privacy he perceived as a result of their experiments. Nevertheless, he said he was "quite confident that [his] experiences with Professor Murray had no significant effect on the course of [his] life."[29]

I thought I carried some baggage from college from some embarrassing drug/alcohol fueled stupid actions. Jeez.
