Saw that.  Sucks. RIP.

Kind of funny, I somehow first became aware of him through Hair and thought he was some kind of weird hippie.  Then he was in a number of movies in pretty straight roles and I revised my opinion.

Yeah, he was pretty much the antithesis of a hippie in 1941, which came out the same year as Hair.  

I first remember him from an old DB Cooper movie with Duvall when I was a kid.  Last thing was Bennie on Chicago Fire (guilty pleasure) playing a good 'bad Dad' role.  RIP

he was great playing ovitz in the late shift, which is an underrated gem from early hbo films.

 

Always liked him. Thought he was under rated. RIP
