If things went down like this guy thinks, this is nothing but unadulterated nightmare fuel: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12286881/Titanic-sub-victims-knew-fate-minute-3-000ft-nosedive-expert-says.html

Contradicts the story showing the leaked messages from the mother ship.  Where they sunk too fast, dumped all the ballast they could, and attempted to go up, but ascent rate was virtually nil until, POP, no more comms.

That original version is obviously tainted by what happened this summer, but having been built in 1973 at least disassociates it from Rush's crappy design theories.

Not that I'd buy it, even if I had the money and wanted a submersible vessel.

After reading some follow up information regarding the communication system, I'm under the belief that the leaked messages are bogus. The communication system relies on coded messages/shorthand and sonar pulses. Full string text wouldn't be feasible.

Should’ve tried Right, Left, Down, Up, A, B, Start tbh.

It’s actually Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, and Start

Yeah, I accidentally came across the photo of Hellevik's body and it is nightmare material.

Edit: It was reddit, and I mistakenly clicked the "Yes I'm 18" button and then there it was.

Somebody who researched it found a photo of what he would have went through - it's the boot side of this manhole cover picture

If you don't want to sleep, here's the autopsy and photos of everybody

Best line from the report:

"The penis was present, but invaginated."

Wow, way to kick the guy when he's down.

The Coast Guard has recovered remaining debris, including presumed human remains, from a submersible that imploded on its way to explore the wreck of the Titanic, killing all five onboard, deep beneath the Atlantic Ocean's surface, officials said Tuesday.

The Coast Guard said that the recovery and transfer of remaining parts was completed last Wednesday, and a photo showed the intact aft titanium endcap of the 22-foot (6.7-meter) vessel. Additional presumed human remains were carefully recovered from within Titan’s debris and transported for analysis by U.S. medical professionals, the Coast Guard said.

The salvage mission conducted under an agreement with the U.S. Navy was a follow-up to initial recovery operations on the ocean floor roughly 1,600 feet (488 meters) away from the Titanic, the Coast Guard said.

The new materials were offloaded at an unnamed port.

The Coast Guard previously said it recovered presumed human remains along with parts of the Titan after the debris field was located at a depth of 12,500 feet (3,800 meters).

Investigators believe the Titan imploded as it made its descent into deep North Atlantic waters on June 18.

The multiday search mounted after Titan went silent captured attention around the world. The submersible was attempting to view the British passenger liner that sank in 1912.

The Coast Guard’s Marine Board of Investigation said investigators from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada joined the salvage expedition, and the Coast Guard is coordinating with international investigative agencies to schedule a joint review of the evidence to determine the next steps for forensic testing.

The Marine Board of Investigation, meanwhile, will continue its analysis and witness interviews ahead of a public hearing on the tragedy, officials said Tuesday.

OceanGate, the operator of the vessel, has since gone out of business. Among those killed in the implosion was Stockton Rush, the submersible’s pilot and CEO of the company.

from a submersible that imploded

That's good use of the indefinite article there. You can't be too sure there's not another imploded submarine down there somewhere.

You really can’t

Did they find the Logitech game controller?

Yea. Forensic analysis showed a residue of Cheetos dust on the “back” button suggesting it had been repeatedly pressed.

Do they get wet, or does the water get them instead?

Will the vessel fit into a large zip-loc bag of rice?

At least Town Lake is lsnt deep enough for Nicole's "murder sub" to implode.

Wow, and that only cost $250K for the experience.

Looks more like tomato paste.  A good thickener, lots of umami flavor.

Lol, at about 1:55 I think they showed the game controller on the floor.

I'm impressed. Broke several good controllers thanks to NCAA Football back in the early 2000s.  Guess Logitech makes them much better these days.
