July 23, 20232 yr Harman has one hand firmly on the Claret. Just can't see him shooting worse than one or two over today. His putter isn't showing any signs of betrayal.

July 23, 20232 yr Straka lips out a 2' par putt. Rahm misses a birdie by half a ball. But Day with a nice hole out to give the drenched crowd something to cheer about.
July 23, 20232 yr And we're at Waggle count for the graphics! You know the tournament is a snooze when they're digging that deep.
July 23, 20232 yr Author Terrible birdie putt attempt on #15 for Spieth. Just amazing how horrible he is inside 10ft

July 23, 20232 yr I would like to congratulate Brian Harman on being the Champion golfer of the Year (not kidding/not jinxing); the only thing that can stop him now is somehow going Van De Velt on 17 and/or 18 And welcome to the Ryder Cup - USA USA USA! Edited July 23, 20232 yr by Wally Fairway

July 23, 20232 yr Harman has a lot of holes left. I just think he's too many shots clear. I don't see anyone getting to better than -9.

Conditions seem to be getting worse. Spiethcoaster tied with Scottie at Even going into 18th. Jordan has a birdie putt attempt from 20ft... Just misses. Shoots 73, ends up tied with Scottie

Ultra conservative, pars for the win. I think someone will have to get to -10 to have a sliver of hope he comes back to them. Sometimes it’s just your moment when everything clicks.
July 23, 20232 yr 5 stroke lead, 3 to go. And on the green in regulation on 16. Very impressive performance.
July 23, 20232 yr If he triple bogeys this from the green and then cards another triple on 18 we'll get a playoff. Crazy for a 36 y/o that hasn't won in 6 years to just beat the brakes off everyone like this.

Jordan might need some new coaching for putting -- maybe spend some time with Faxon. I also wonder how much longer Greller can tolerate Jordan... he's a fuckin' beating at times.
July 23, 20232 yr Definitely a crazy tournament. Ho hum coming down the stretch, but damn impressive margin.
July 23, 20232 yr only guy to shoot all 4 in the 60's. Dude crushed the field. Hilarious his wife is at home going on 4 mile walks.

July 23, 20232 yr He made that round look sooooooo easy. guess it’s ok to be last in driving distance when you are first in accuracy, first in scrambling, and first in putting. Edited July 23, 20232 yr by Pato del Muerto

July 23, 20232 yr you can say that again. wonder if they have enough plates for the 4 2nd place guys.
July 23, 20232 yr I am actually rooting for the “lefty” Brian Harman. Dude isn’t even 5’9 and knocks it a ton for a guy his size. He’s been a “journey man” pro for over a decade, so I would be excited for him to see it through to the Claret Jug.Hook’em!!!
July 23, 20232 yr We’ll done Brian Harman! Solid enough today and nobody really “pushed” him.Hook’em!!!
July 23, 20232 yr Probably the best putting display I have seen since Crenshaw was putting on a couple of green jackets.
July 23, 20232 yr His putting came back to earth after +8 in round 2 but still finished over +10 SG: putting. Insane work considering he putts with a Starship Enterprise on the end of a pole as a putter.

A lot of small guys out there hitting it a mile these days.

August 8, 20232 yr My ballot application for Royal Troon was successful - 4 tickets to the Saturday round. Can't tell how amazing of a feat that is (it's not the Masters after all) and not sure how I'm going to pull it off, but I have to at least buy the tickets, right?
August 8, 20232 yr Yeah, I got 4 tickets to the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds. Now have to figure out the rest.

Not to rain on your parade, but I entered for Liverpool for the first time last year and got tickets. I did it again for Troon this year and got selected again

August 8, 20232 yr 13 minutes ago, Catpfish said: Were you able to scalp the extra tickets? The open ticket app has a resell platform, so you can just say I don’t want these tickets and they will find someone who wants them. You can also transfer the tickets to someone else by entering their email address, but that isn’t available until a couple weeks before the tournament, so it could be difficult to reliably find someone last minute. A couple of my practice round tickets didn’t sell, but they aren’t very expensive
