Murray looks like he may have pulled his groin while on double set point to go up 2-1.

But closes it out the following point!

Hot Paula quit, because she never had a backbone.

I feel fairly certain that Kostyuk’a last two matches have ended with a second set withdrawal, no?

Add to that the fact that Grand Slams offer much more rest for women than the WTA Tour does and she should be awfully fresh.

Apparently it was NOT Kostyuk who had her opponent quite at 4-0 in the second yesterday.

Kostyuk beat Sakkara in three sets after dropping the first set 0-6.

Andy and Tsitsipas going to the 5th

Props to Tsitsipas for getting through those first two rounds, but he had to do it in 10 sets. Wonder how much he has left in the tank .

Mrs. Monfils thrashed Kenin in straights

Epic comeback by Rune in the 5th set tiebreaker after down 6-2, including Fokina attempting a little drop serve that did not work at all to give Rune match point.

Not much of a fight from our Katie.  Rybakina takes the 1st set 6-1.

Double breadstick in 57 minutes

That was an insane match that was topped off with an insane tiebreaker.

Women’s tennis doesn’t always bring it, but both matches that just finished were great matches.

Hurkacz choked that set away.

The dude had chances in both tiebreaks.

Eubanks up a break in the 5th set. At least one American man came to play.

Looked a little shaky after winning that first break, but came through clutch at the end. Now go kick some Russian ass!

Women’s Matches:

16 year-old vs Former Grand Slam Finalist

3-6, 7-6, 6-2 (30 games)

Three other matches went a total of 36 games. There were two straight set wins that each included a 6-0 set and the a withdrawal at 4-1?

Chris Eurbanks vs Tsitsipas

3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4

51 games

Swiatek just choked on a big ol’ kielbasa when trying to serve out the first set.

Double faulted to lose her serve at Love and now is flailing on Svitolina’s serve at 5-5.

Headcase Iga just shit all over the Center Court as she was broken when serving for the set and then serving for the tie-breaker.

Her fucked up head issues act is getting tired. She’s muscled up to compete with Sabalenka and to a lesser extent Rybakina, but she is still a classic WTA mental shit show when she feels the pressure.

Svitolina just duffed a soft volley into the net as Iga was on the baseline and was slowly walking towards her chair for the changeover.

It was then 40-15 and Svitolina didn’t get another first serve in for the rest of the game. 7 (or 😎 straight first serve misses with 2 double faults.

She lost the game.

And gave Swiatek hope.

Now Swiatek is playing better. Is being more aggressive and is hitting her big shots in rather than having them float. She has completely turned her game around and Svitolina is starting to try different shit, because she’s lost her edge.

Bummer.

Pegula had a breakpoint to go up 5-1 in the third set, but didn’t break and then got broken the next game. So they are on serve, but Vondrousova is looking tough. Some long ass rallies.

Svitolina has broken back. Swiatek is up and down, depending on her first serve.

And Pegula just got broken to bring up Vondrousova serving for the match.

Predictable loss by Pegula. Looks like some preschoolers drew on Vondrousovas arms.

I was thinking that maybe Vondrousova passed out in a bathroom, a school dorm, or a frat house.

EDIT: She has 777 tattooed on her as well, so maybe she woke up in a Vegas suite after heading back with a group in town for a bachelor party.

lol he's complaining about the ball boy and the chair ump's like "he's only 10..."

oh medvedev hit a ball boy on accident after the play was over, received a warning, and started complaining. the chair ump said he had to protect him because he's only 10.

Some huge fucking hitting in this match. In person I bet it is unbelievable. That was what amazed when watching in person the first time. They look like they’re hitting it hard on tv, but in person you see they’re absolutely ripping it every shot. So impressive.

i can't remember the last time a SW17 crowd has been this one-sided for an american male.  this is great.

medvedev has no idea.  such a difference from the first set.  he's playing so much faster now to try to find something.

I’m conflicted - I’m a Medvedev fan but also love this run of Eubanks. Should be a barn burner of a 5th set.

Medvedev picked up his service game in set 4 and picked up his return game in set 5. That’s why he’s top 3 in the world

just got out of a meeting and saw the results.  that's a letdown.

So after everything, it’s pretty much chalk into the semis.

Sinner clearly had talent and game on grass to make semis. That said, he doesn’t have experience to maintain level the whole match and seize moments like needed against someone like Djoker.

I’m a fan of Medvedev’s style of play and ability but Alcaraz is just on another level athletically.

It’s going to be Djoker vs Alcaraz to see if it’s time to pass the torch. If Alcaraz wins he’s on the fast track to challenge for GOAT status in 10-15 years barring injury or Tiger Woods like off court issues.

Women I don’t watch as closely but feels like we’re destined for a much hyped Ukraine vs Belarus final.

Arm tats pulls it out after it looked like neither of them wanted to win the 2nd set

After winning the 1st set in a tie-breaker, Sabalenka broke in the 2nd set to go up 4-2 and it looked academic at that point.

Narrator: “It wasn’t.”

It wasn’t a double-fault fest from Sabalenka, but Jabeur won out to win the set 6-4.

On serve in the 3rd, but it is 30-30 on Sabalenka’s serve.

Jabeur just keeps giving Sabalenka rope and Sabalenka keeps hanging herself.

It is crazy how much her level of play and control has fallen. For the most part, Jabeur has just decided to play conservatively and let Sabalenka sail the ball out.

Down match point (30-40), Sabalenka serves an ace. Then at deuce, she serves her first double fault in long time. A long return on the second match point takes us back to deuce where Jabeur duffs the return into the net.

A backhand down the line that catches the outside of the line sees Sabalenka hold to make Ons serve out the match at 5-3.

Exciting times.

The one thing that bugs me about Sinner is he’s an aggressive fist pumper. Like every point he wins.  That annoyed the shit out of me when I played.

This Álcaraz kid is pretty good. He is making a Grand Slam winner look like a guy who is hoping to break into the Top 50.
