Hundreds' of NCAA violations land Tennessee $8M fine plus six-year show cause for ex-coach Jeremy Pruitt

Featured Replies

Lulz.  I don't have the tweet, but documents show Jeremy Pruitt said he gave bags of Chick FIL A w/ $300 to recruits because he felt bad for George Floyd.

Clearly didn’t feel that bad if it was chickfila instead of popeyes

So, Tennessee self reported to avoid paying the $12.6 million buyout and ended up with an $8 million fine and a bunch of lost scholarships.  Sucks to be poor.

The fines given out were notably larger than those historically given out by the NCAA. However, the NCAA addressed the heightened fines as an offsetting move to avoid giving out bowl bans that will affect players and staff on campus who had no involvement with the violations.

As an OKST grad, this sentence is absolutely rage inducing. How has the NCAA managed to still exist? Oh yeah, they only fuck over “lesser” programs like OKST. Un-fucking-believable.
