does it have casey jones?  bebop and rocksteady?

Nah. And yes and yes

Taking my two girls (8 and 6 years) next Friday.  We have a retro game system with the old school TMNT arcade game on it and they play it all the time (as do I).  Showed them the first two from the early 90's a while back and they loved them.

Saw this with the kids.

It’s a cute movie, leaned way more into the comedy and the turtles feel more like kids and tweens (early teens at best). Lots of laughs and loved the He-man meme song and didn’t even distract that April O’Neil reimagined as a pear-shaped BIPOC (versus hot white chick), because this is probably more accurate of an average NYer.

There is a cool montage of fighting scenes kinda early in the movie where they're going to diff gang hideouts and it's in the perspective of the old side scroller games. Nice little nod

Damn this was great. Animation, soundtrack, cast... loved it.

Took my 10 yo son last night.  I didn't play with these as a kid and know cursory things about them. Not a bad movie.  I may have dozed off for a few minutes.

Spoiler

Son said he didn't like that they strayed from the origin story of Splinter as well as Be-Bop and Rock Steady.

What the fuck does bipoc mean? Wife and I took the kids yesterday, wish I knew it was national cinema day. I’m so used to having nobody near me, so that sucked. But I liked the movie, two enthusiastic thumbs up.

Casey jones from 1990 can never be replaced.

No Casey, No shredder.  Works perfectly for setting up a second movie.  Agree with the consensus, it was awesome and my favorite turtles movie.  The other reboots have been mostly crap.

And honestly, I would've hated on my take, if I hadn't watched the originals recently.  That scene with Kasey and April in the house with the porch swing is just so bad.
