I need to go to the doctor and haven’t been since my high school physical for football. I’m 35 now. Nothing wrong that I know of but I would like to keep on living. Any recs that does well with middle age guys? Preferably somebody that isn’t about to retire. Fine with a no bullshit approach.

At your advanced age, you would also do well to find a doctor that does not have large knuckles.

I'm gonna bump this because I need to find a primary in North Austin. Really doesn't have to be in North Austin, that's just where I am. I'm a recovering alcoholic, so I can't have some judgy prick. That won't work with me. I actually prefer female doctors because they seem less judgy to me, but I don't care that much. Anyway, maybe a bump will have some recs. Didn't even get one the first time around.

Also need a GI doctor if anyone has one of those they like.

I have yet to encounter a doc that's judgy about recovery from alcoholism.  Unlike the rest of society, almost all of them recognize it as a disease. They're virtually powerless over addiction and most of them are fairly in awe of those who have recovered.  And I am sure quite relieved that they aren't charged with fixing that.
