July 2, 20187 yr Jesus, Hazard's ankle got destroyed on that tackle.Just like my dreams of attending the 2019 Masters.
July 2, 20187 yr Christ. I really hate how this phone app kicks you to the wrong thread sometimes. Go Belgium!
July 2, 20187 yr First time applying and I got two tickets for Sunday! Told the wife. She said “$115/ticket isn’t too bad, you should go ahead and get them!” Umm okay
July 3, 20187 yr Well I guess I can’t be too mad since I won last year, but I’m back to my yearly rejection letters.
July 3, 20187 yr https://tenor.com/rwL5.gif Crap. Can't get it to work due to old age. Insert Dikembe Mutombo finger wag...denied Edited July 3, 20187 yr by Catpfish
July 3, 20187 yr And then came depression. We regret to inform you that you are a pathetic loser and we would never give you tickets because you are not an old super rich white man with senate connections.

July 8, 20187 yr The list is long and distinguished ...... am unfortunately I got the same letter as last year
July 8, 20187 yr Denied. Was selected last year, so this should dispel the myth that getting selected improves your future lottery odds.

I have been telling anyone and everyone that is in to golf to apply, and finally my Uncle hit for the Monday practice round for the 2019 Masters...and he invited me for telling him about it. It will be me, my two uncles, and MY DAD. I am beyond fortunate to be able to check this bucket list item off with the man that taught me the game. I assume booking accommodations needs to be done immediately?

July 9, 20187 yr First time I went I stayed outside Charleston. It wasn't a bad drive if you're only going one day. Last year we rented a house 15 minutes from the course. It was cheaper than hotels nearby.
July 9, 20187 yr Any tips would be appreciated for lodging. I'm just gonna book 2 hotel rooms at the I-20/Washington Road intersection. Seems like a lot of hotels there. We do not want to spend a lot, but I want a hotel bar, at least.

Great place to play and about 1:20 away from Augusta. Congrats.

The nicer Spingfield Suite type places are permanently booked by the travel companies that put the packages together. Generally if you do air bnb it is for the whole week. If you don't want to enjoy some beers on the course go to Akin, Columbia, etc.
July 10, 20187 yr Also there is a bar on the backside of the course that could pass for the place in Animal House where they see Otis Redding perform. High comedy. It's off Breckmans road.
July 10, 20187 yr Also, hotel bar not necessary, you can always go the hotel bar at another place and then walk or uber home. There is a wing place on the other side of 20 from the course and a number of places in between that and hooters. Downtown is always an interesting experience as well.

We have a tee time at the Aiken Golf Club bc its all that was available, and I refuse to play golf without beer. I got 2 rooms on the other side of 20. I couldn't find any other hotel in Augusta.
