Your rough day was billing a client $1000 an hour for eating fried chicken while driving in Texas long enough to complain about it on a message board? Pobrecita!!

All innards belong here. Perhaps you thought these were dainty and ladylike tenders. Such items do not belong here, and indeed, morally offend me at times. Edited December 11Dec 11 by Brisketexan
December 11Dec 11 Those are honestly the tastiest looking gizzards I have ever seen. Tasty enough to try them? Honestly, probably. They look amazing. Yes, innards are a fixture, but this thread lives off of the inventions of slapping together who knows what out of the fridge, not fast food bliss.

As the OP of the original Steel Shank thread on Shaggy, which commenced with a photo of my purchase of Pearl beer and pork rinds and a challenge of "Steel Shank, your move," I disagree. Funky animal parts are always welcome in this discussion. Frankly, the overarching theme may well be "would your wife be appalled by what you are eating? Then post it."

December 12Dec 12 I'd smash those gizzards. Tonight we have our annual HoliRide. A buddy hosts a big potluck in his massive heated garage, and we drink beer and ride pedal bikes around town to look at the Christmas displays. Point of interest for @Kennythetigeris that my wife has prepared her Dorothy Lynch taco dip. Will post pics tonight, but damn I can't wait for that.

We recently lost our Dorothy Lynch taco salad expert. She was in my dad’s class and they were good friends. I made her taco salad for her funeral dinner but it didn’t come close to hers.

I recently tried them for the first time, and the chicken fry batter on them was great and seemed more flavorful than the tenders or chicken there, but I did have to wait for them to make them fresh so that could’ve been it too. The thing you have to prepare for is how chewy the gizzards are. Some are chewy, some are really chewy. They started to get even chewier as they cooled and I think I finally quit eating them around 6-7 gizzards into the 9. Pulled as much breading off I could and called it a day.

The chewiness of gizzards is how we separate strong men from weak men. It’s okay, nothing to be ashamed of, society has a place for you too.

December 15Dec 15 It's 21 degrees this morning. At 8:08 a.m. CST, I have made my decision on lunch. I have some sourdough bread, so a grilled cheese sammich with sharp cheddar and a piping hot mug of tomato soup to dip my sammich in will be in order shortly before noon.
