Couple of leftover grilled weiners. Shredded cheese hinge, spicy mustard, dill relish, jalapeños and fancied it up with some smoked Gouda on top.

We call that “dry aged.”

Or as Joseph would say about stale onions, “No slab, has moderate cry”.

Seems like as good a thread as any for this. Just watching the video made we want to take a dump. No non-Polynesian country will ever out-fat the USA

Leftover dogs, kraut, raw onion, pepperoncini, dijon, mustard based relish, Whataburger ketchup, Tillamook cheddar hinge, shitty low carb wrap. Deductions for permanent plating.

Well plus bonus points for importing whataburger ketchup instead of Wawa’s or whatever the fuck that is

I always have Whataburger ketchup handy.  The spicy version that is.

Deductions for low carb tortilla and plate, but it's still a solid 8/10.  And I know japs are a mainstay on this thread, but I have a jar of pepperoncini in my fridge at all times.

I'm with you on the pepperoncini. I love jalapenos, but my stomach can't take them very often anymore.

I love japs but the wife had bought the pepperoncini for some pasta salad, and per the spirit of the thread I tend to just go with what's in the fridge at the time.  Same with the low carb tortilla.  They aren't good, but they're good enough for having half the calories of a regular one.

We can all overlook the use of the word "calories" on this thread.  But not repeatedly ok?

Alas, it was my only binder.  Sometimes you just have to deal with non-Shankworthy ingredients.  I'll keep it a minimum.

Had some salami that I needed to get through. So I cut it in ribbons, cooked it until it gots crispy in the skillet.  Put them on some eggs with parm. Not bad.

It really did.  I'm gonna make it again. Next time I'll cook the salami a little longer so that it crisps up a bit more. Definitely a nice change on eggs.

We refer to that as "The Wolowitz" in our household.

In the parlance of our times, it slams and goes hard.

Awesome

I do something similar with pepperoni.  cut in half, the lay them out on doubled/folded paper towel, then on foiled tray in the toaster oven.  set it to dark toast and the come out nice and crunchy in just a few minutes with basically zero cleanup except the paper towels.

if your toaster oven gets above 450deg, you might want to back it off a bit.  or try parchment paper, if you're scared.

Spent the past five days camping and flyfishing in the Idaho wilderness. Night before leaving town, I cooked a massive, 2.25-pound rib steak and only ate half of it. Tossed the leftover half (first spoilered pic) in the cooler so it would not go to waste. First night at camp, sliced up the steak, added fresh grilled onions and japs (second pic), and rolled it all into some tortillas (unspoilered pic).

As I mowed down a Loco Moco on the North Shore this morning, I determined Steel Shank descendants must’ve passed through. Rice providing a cozy bed for two hamburger patties smothered in brown gravy and topped off with two sunny side eggs with a side of macaroni salad sneaking into the main event. For. Fucking. Breakfast. Black coffee with a Tito’s, pineapple juice, lychee juice and splash of black cherry drink chaser adds to the experience. All hail Shank’s descendants, worshippers, and followers.

*pictures not included as somehow I’ll accidentally reveal my DOB, SSN, mother’s maiden name, first pet name, street I grew up on and my porn star name.

Breakfast in Hawaii kicks Ass. Even at McDonalds. Fucking Spam and rice a shit.

Loco Moco is the answer.

Mark me as "Impressed as fuck".

Loco Moco is the answer.

Oh no doubt. I’ve gained a few pounds from that alone. I didn’t mean to besmirch the awesomeness of loco moco so much as to say “even McDonalds is nailing it”.

grew up in katy isd where rice was commonly on the lunch menu (used to be farmed out there).  steak fingers + rice and gravy over everything was lowkey the best thing in the regular lunch line. never did care for rectangle pizza (pepperoni wasn't so bad but it was usually sausage which was terrible), and the burgers were downright awful.

so loco moco is kinda my jam.

Just happy to report that the DQ steak fingers are still on point. 10/10.

surl gonna surl.

can't remember if it ever got settled, but iirc, hinged bread makes it not a sandwich.  wasn't worth digging that up again or having some effete coonass go off over minor violations of cajun cuisine.

anyway, this thread was near the top, which served my lazy nature---which fits this thread.

so...congrats, I guess, thread cop.

This new offering by the Kansas City Royals at their ballpark must have been inspired by this thread.

Not to question your authority on the matter but I decided to do a little research myself. I can confirm that as of 730 pm, the dude sandwich still abides. My daughter turned 8 today and when asked what she wanted for her meal, she answered with DQ…no hesitation.

Taco Bell tacos, crushed four of them (only two shown here) before realizing I should probably stop due to copay restraints.
