October 19Oct 19 So, what happens when a super-hyped player with multi-millions in NIL busts. He's not gonna have shit for NIL next year is he?

October 19Oct 19 Im just trying to figure out what kind of pressures are going to be on him for next year. I honestly think he'd probably be best off transferring and trying to make a fresh start somewhere else.
October 19Oct 19 You're putting the player before the program if you don't bench him for such a shitty performance.

October 19Oct 19 What is wrong with Arch? As everyone has noted, he looked better than this when Quinn was hurt last year. I realize the offensive supporting cast is less than Quinn had, but Arch can't make even basic, easy throws. He looked sort of competent in the 2nd half last week, but tonight he's simply awful. WTF? How can he be this bad. He looks like me out there.
October 19Oct 19 I could hand off every play this year and be undefeated. well done, Arch. thank you for fucking up the season.
October 19Oct 19 Arch has 23 passes for 109 yards and 9 rushes for -4 yards 32 touches for an average of 3.3 yards per play
October 19Oct 19 Our offense is trash. Crazy Kentucky has a better offense than us. This is on (in this order): Sark, Sark, Sark. And our OL and Arch.
October 19Oct 19 He's been so bad the camera person stopped expecting him to get throws off on third down.

October 19Oct 19 This is an indefensible performance. He has been absolute dog shitDude just might not have it
October 19Oct 19 He’s just not consistent enough to be a quality starting QB. sark needs to think about what does he really want for next year as bringing Arch back will be an easy way to get fired.
October 19Oct 19 I’ll ask it again, was Arch tipping his plays? He had a long discussion with a UK defender after the game, and they knew every time it was a QB keeper. Perhaps the UK player told him.
October 19Oct 19 He’s just not consistent enough to be a quality starting QB. sark needs to think about what does he really want for next year as bringing Arch back will be an easy way to get fired. Bust. Period. Full stop landing. It's year 3 in this system. Have to test the waters in the portal this off-season for an OC and QB.
October 19Oct 19 Arch isn't good enough to carry this team, but he isn't completely as bad as he looks at times. The offense is a fucking shit show all around. TEs are average at best, WRs are slightly above average, RBs are average, OL is below average. QB is generally below average as a result. The lack of cohesion and leadership only compounds the issues, no one seems to hold anyone else accountable. Even DJ Campbell seems less fiery this year. Caldwell might be worth a look, but there's 5+million reasons why he won't get an extended one. Despite that, him taking over would only punt our potential issues to next year. We aren't beating Georgia/Vandy/A&M unless Arch goes bananas. Any team that can score more than 20 on our defense is put us in a real bind offensively.
October 19Oct 19 There was not a QB on TV today (Saturday, October 18th) who threw the ball as poorly as Arch Manning threw the ball today versus the Kentucky Wildcats football team. He was absolutely awful. Now that what’s his name in Norman has had a week more of practice coming off of surgery, Arch is the worst thrower of the football in the SEC. That includes Jackson Arnold. October 19Oct 19 I checked. 172 yards at the end of regulation is not the worst since 2000…I thought it might be. 153 yards against ou in 65-13 loss in 2003. Scored the same number of points though! Edited October 19Oct 19 by sidis
October 19Oct 19 Arch needs to go back to Lowsy-ana. Major Applewhite was the better QB from New Orleans. Cut his NIL. Bench his ass. Make him transfer. He sucks. Chris Sims was a way better legacy.

October 19Oct 19 We escaped. That's good. You can make the excuse to not play the backup in this game bc he hasn't 'prepared as the starter'. But this week, he needs to at least split time with first team. Whatever the argument was against playing the backup quarterback, I don't know what it is anymore
October 19Oct 19 Arch is bad. But he’s looking worse because of terrible OL protection a lot, and a bad scheme for him (at this point in time in his development) Caldwell wasn’t brought in for Owen’s, was he? It was for Arch.

WRs are good enough, as are RBs. This is an OL/Sark/Arch problem in no particular order. Ultimately it’s on Sark for failing to utilize the portal for OL, and for not getting his QB right. And I’m not worried about Vandy or A&M more than Miss St. We can win all remaining games. It’s unlikely, but it’s impossible that we lose to all three teams you highlighted.
October 19Oct 19 There are many ways to dress this turd sandwich. - Arch has now played 3 SEC games + fOSU. Something is sore. There’s your cover for a benching. - Caldwell probably runs well enough for a package. Think of it in basketball terms, good chance for a breather.

What do Arch, Caldwell and Lacey all have in common?
October 19Oct 19 Popular Post Arch missed 5-7 open throws. He played poorly. Arch got killed again behind this offensive line. Sark called a terrible game and abandoned the running game from the very beginning. This is the most undisciplined group of offensive players we've had under Sark by a mile. We need our receivers to make the tough grabs. Matthew Caldwell is a band-aid on a season (probably) already lost. There is no positive future for this program with him taking over as the starter by benching Arch. He would also have to play behind this same offensive line. The fact that so many people take a handful of meaningless Caldwell plays as enough to start him makes me questions the intellect of our fanbase. I don't want to ruin KJ Lacey's future or confidence behind this line. We have to ride this out with Arch and see where we are at the end of the year.

Endries has all but disappeared as a receiver, but obviously Arch is missing throws all over. WIsner is good, but no one else is a value add. Pass pro is also below average here. Sark is definitely an issue though. We thought it was Quinn, but now we see the common denominator here.

October 19Oct 19 Talk of benching Arch is ridiculous. He made 3 bad throws tonight. Admittedly they were very bad and my son’s HS QB (15) makes them routinely. But he’s not getting benched. This O is bad with him and it would be bad without him with a far less talented QB. I’d look squarely at Sark and the line and tell supposed QB Whisperer to tell his prized recruit to stop thinking and fucking play.
