A special fuck you to the bitch ass pussies that have infected this thread for the last week. Maybe the most pathetic display from Texas fans regarding one of our players that I've ever seen.  Ar

Top 3 for sure

Kidding aside, Arch is pretty fucking fast

Kid has got some quick legs and a gun for an arm…  think the fumble/recovery was planned so he could throw a few 😉

Arch Manning should starts

We all knew arch was a talented true freshmen. He looks like a talented true freshmen.

My first look at him. This kid's gonna be good.

I saw Case McCoy the first time I saw him

He’s going to be fantastic… when it’s his turn. And he’ll probably be better than Ewers but I doubt while Ewers is here.

Quinn watching Manning on that last drive

Edited by Hmbre97

I've never seen anything like that from a dude in his first real game action.

Damn.

Mf'er looked like it was another day at the office.

We're set perfectly for next year. Ewers has all-star year, is in the running for the Heisman, goes pro only to be replaced at the 40 Acres by someone better - a better arm, a better bloodline with an even better team. It's storybook man.

His wheels and the zip behind the ball is already way better than Ewers. Look at how much his team mates hyped him up around him. We want QBs who other great recruits gravitate to and that's what I saw. I saw enough flashes to know he's going to be a good QB.

He should have been give more a chance….  The end.

Thanks Dad.

He’s going to be a great QB and win the Heisman here.  Mark my words!

I mean, we're trying to win football games, not invade Poland.

I don't need to.  Watched it live.  Tonight was at a minimum equally, if not more impressive to me.

VY was a physical freak of nature  there, to be sure.  Tonight was different.  This was a different beast tonight.  Completely different.

And I'm a guy here who didn't jump on the Arch lovefest b/c I thought it smelt of a bit of hype.  Not there anymore.

I have mutual friends with Chance mock. I was at that game and he looked ok that day but I knew we were in trouble if he was our program's long term qb1.

I don't think he was talking about Chance.

The kid only completed 40% of his passes.  Overrated.  Hit that portal, kid.

I was telling my wife tonight how special it was in the stands that night when he first came in and ran those first few plays. She was riveted. 😉

Maybe none of this is actually true, but to my eyes from 30 rows up, he looked bigger, faster, and stronger than Ewers, and his arm looked even stronger. Dude's gonna be a monster imho.

He’s going to be fantastic… when it’s his turn. And he’ll probably be better than Ewers but I doubt while Ewers is here.

He’s going to get a lot of snaps behind Ewers next year.

He threw a pass into traffic and the end zone shot wasn't great, but Manning's fundamentals looked outstanding.

Adrenaline dump probably had him feeling like he was throwing with someone else's arm there for a bit.

I saw all I needed to see on the replay from behind on the play where he scrambled right for a nice gain.  Quiet feet, shoulders cocked.  Kid's absolutely got the details down to a degree Ewers can only dream of.  Helps having a grandad and 2 uncles who were stud QBs, but still.

What makes you think Ewers beats him out ?

Counterpoint. The greatest QB of all time didn’t win the Heisman here (fuck curt bowls) and the biggest winning QB of all time didn’t win it either.

Add to that both Peyton and Archie both got passed over for the Heisman in their college careers. So he’s double cursed? Too many sooner and aggy voters now. They hate Texas for some reason, the voters. The Heisman lost all meaning to me after VY.

I remember some dude at the DKR student section yelling in my ear all game “ Vince is sick, he is so sick “ all damn game. It was true but damn.

I know both Arch and Ewers had nearly perfect ratings from every recruiting service, but Arch is the only one of the two as a freshman that looks like an actual 5* plus with his mechanics, footwork, and agility. I hope Ewers and Arch can co-exist next year without either hitting the portal this offseason because odds are both will get plenty of playing time next season in the SEC.

I have tried to temper my expectations somewhat about all the hype around Arch, as he is only a freshman.  It's not fair to him to have all the big-time expectations of both the Manning family name and a big-time program like Texas on his shoulders in only his first season with the program.

But I came away very impressed with his debut tonight.  He still seems a little raw on some things, and he probably got some adrenaline pumping from playing in his first college game.  Still, I saw flashes of brilliance, and I think given time, coaching, and experience, he could be something very special.

I think Sark putting him out tonight was also a message to both future recruits and portal targets: this is the QB you will be playing with someday if you come to Texas.  Don't wait too long, or the train will leave the station without you.

Was it the snap that bounced off his chest, the high laser passes, or the multitude of handoffs that was so mind-blowing?
