December 23, 20232 yr That Baylor game is going to be very interesting. Baylor is not a big team, so if we can shut down Littlepage-Biggs and Andrews on the perimeter, our bigs should give them a lot of problem inside. Edwards is only 6’, Blackwell is 5’11 and Fontleroy is 6’ Even without Jones (hopefully she’s back), Gaston, Faye, Muhammad and Booker should find a lot of success inside. December 27, 20231 yr JSU is generally one of the best HBCU's in WBB. They have the ability to hang with us at least for a half if we're not locked in, but this should be a 20+ margin win in the end.

December 27, 20231 yr Yeah I don't think we'll see Taylor until January. Sucks that our first conference game is against Baylor

They scored over 100 against LeMoyne and Tougaloo and almost beat MSU and Miami. It won't be a walk in the park, especially with Taylor out.

December 27, 20231 yr The worry is Jones. With Taylor this is a final four team, w/o her it is still possible, but the journey just becomes more difficult. Wanted to send a message to Baylor on Saturday, hopefully Vic is just saving her for that game.

Our post depth is pretty insane - Faye, Gaston, Moore, Muhammad, Jak. Should not be an issue not having her for Jackson State. As I posted a while back, even without Jones, Baylor is going to be reminded just how long and tall Texas is inside. They don't quite have the post depth to challenge us inside.
December 28, 20231 yr Well that Harmon tweet was deleted and I'm not seeing anymore confirmation. Maybe it was a mistake?

December 28, 20231 yr Rori isn't in the starting 5 per the Texas WBB twitter account so she must be out.

December 28, 20231 yr Rori in a knee brace with noticeable limp. I’m sitting behind her on the bench.
December 28, 20231 yr Jones averaging 16 per game, Harmon 14. Our top 2 scorers out. Still plenty of firepower though.

December 28, 20231 yr Just wish this team could stay healthy because damn we are loaded. We are doing this without our leading scorer (Jones) and best 2 way guard in the country (Harmon). How many teams could do that missing these caliber of players?
December 28, 20231 yr Shooting 75% and 3-5 BTA 23-8 Texas after 1. Not having too much trouble without Jones and Rori

December 28, 20231 yr We're getting killed on the boards 20 to 11 but just 3 TO with Booker running point.
December 28, 20231 yr Holle and Gonzales need to play more minutes together. When you have two players that can stretch the court it gives everyone more space.
December 28, 20231 yr This team is our best opportunity to win a national title in my lifetime if we can just stay healthy. We are loaded. Hopefully, Rori isn't out long-term.
December 28, 20231 yr I would love to see the +- for Holle and Gonzales playing together this year. It's probably insane. Having two shooters like that together makes our offense flow so much better. Edited December 28, 20231 yr by Rickylovesweed
December 28, 20231 yr Shaylee looking for her shot more in this game, averages 8 attempts and she has that already in the first half.
December 28, 20231 yr Our 2nd team is a top 40 caliber team. Please lord let Rori be fine and let us stay healthy the rest of the year. This team deserves it.
December 28, 20231 yr Around the 70 point mark, “they aren’t going to eclipse the century mark today” 93 and counting. 2:21 left 95 with 2:14 left Do it
December 28, 20231 yr Just now, Js1 said: Let’s hear about Rori Buckle up. This could suck. Booker was great tonight wasn't she? Didn't shoot well but 16 points and 9 assists. She's extremely valuable to us right now.
