Texas Women’s Basketball 2023-2024: Handing out ass whoopins and lollipops, and we’re all out of lollipops

ISU wins. They'll lead the Big12 even if Texas wins today

3 of their first 4 were at home, with the road game being BYU. They have to go to Tech, to KU and to WV this month

Remember, we don’t go to Ames this year :)

We can't get a hack call inside to save our life.

That wasn't straight up. Lee hacked the shit out Jones.

Lee is playing bully and they won’t call it

Just be consistent. If you aren't going to call Lee for the hacks on one end don't call Jones the other way. That's why she was pissed.

Psh, we are getting the Big 12 road ref experience. Fuck this conference in the goat ass. Can’t wait to be gone

Seeing that old school clip with Joyner Holmes, woah. I wish she had better coaching, she would have been phenomenal

String together a couple more stops here and I'll breathe a little easier. A foul of two on Lee wouldn't upset me.

This is the best Moore has looked since her injury.

If this is how she’s going to play, keep starting her. Bring Amina off the bench

Booker-Shaylee-Holle-Moore-Jones is a good starting 5

Or not

JFC, just fumbling the ball. Both Booker and Gaston

46-45 KSU after 3

SLOPPY

The issue when Booker goes to the bench is we don't have any ball handlers with Harmon out.

That’s supposed to be Maul.

We are not going to win this game

Booker has a great mid-range game, but she's not even close to making some of these shots beyond 18ft

Trying to do way too much

Some offense would be nice on occasion. It's a totally winnable game if somebody can make a shot.

Just fell apart. It was what, 45-39? Now 47-54

giving up too many wide open layups - poor help defense.

Gonna be another close loss. Hard to win when it’s been officiated differently on two different ends

Vic needs to play Maul more. She can shoot it and run offense. Booker cannot do it all

Big turnover there. Down 3, 15.2 seconds

Wow. That was the best we could do?

Puke. I hope we finish top 3 in the conference

Not exactly a savvy finish by our bunch. Too bad, because it was right there to be had.

Wonder what Lee's stats would be if she could get 6" off the floor or run the 40 in under 15 seconds. Jones in particular seemed horrified of her.

Didn’t help that Jones couldn’t do anything without being called for a foul.

Team just folded after taking a 6 point lead. Sigh

That did not look good at all for Gaston. This team is absolutely snake bitten by injuries.

S&C issue. Also sometimes they can dial it back. Team plays at 150% from start to finish.

So they never showed a replay of how Lee was the only player in the lane to collect a rebound and easy putback while the person guarding her was picking herself up off of the ground, with around 5 minutes to go.  Can’t think of many ways for that to happen without a foul being committed.

Gaston wasn't able to put any weight on her foot. We're likely going to be without for a few games now.

UConn game may be the highlight of the season

We'll finish 3rd-4th in the conference, win a game or two in the NCAAs, and then move on to next season with a goal to just stay healthy for once

Then I start money whipping an S&C from anywhere but UConn lol

That's the biggest key moving forward. Only thing holding this program back is all the injuries.

They also need to pray to the basketball gods. Some of these injuries are just bad luck.

The head coach saying PTL all the time isn’t getting the job done?

Vic very nearly lost his 14 year old son in 2010 due to a wakeboarding accident.    Thus his strong faith and comments which may not be apropos at times.

He attributes his success to his father, who motivated him, pushed him through rehabilitation and kept him optimistic

Thanks, didn't know that.

we need a pagan coach

Auburn knocked off LSU 67-62. Former Texas assistant Johnnie Harris is Auburn’s head coach. Always nice to see the Bayou witch take a tumble.
