September 16, 20232 yr Just now, Dewey said: BC scores first on FSU 7-0 FSU in white helmets keeps throwing me off.
September 16, 20232 yr I guess I missed that Manny Diaz is the DC at Penn St. lol I’m sure that won’t bite them in the ass

September 16, 20232 yr Illinois has a nice opening drive, has to settle for a FG…attempt…which sails wide left. They won the coin toss and opted to receive. tOSU did that last week because of the new clock rules limiting possessions (but not the length of games in real time). I wonder if many teams are doing that. Something I’ll be watching for today.

September 16, 20232 yr Penn State looks flat. 3 and out? James Franklin seems to churn out good but not great teams just year after year

In Ryan Day’s call in show last week a caller asked him about taking the hall first if they won the toss and he said it was something they were thinking about. We all know the conventional thinking. But with fewer possessions, maybe the thinking is that it’s even more to your advantage to score first and put the pressure on the other team. Maybe you don’t want to give your opponent a chance to take a lot of time off the clock. It’s uncharted territory and it’s obviously something coaches are thinking about. It’s a different approach. It’s a thing to pay attention to and see what happens.
September 16, 20232 yr Miss St Qb may have hurt his shoulder on that sack, both throws after were short-armed and weak.

September 16, 20232 yr Allar threw a nice ball on 2nd down. That should’ve been caught for the TD. They settle for a FG. 3-0 Nits.
September 16, 20232 yr Does KSU have the highest percentage of white players in the P5? Their offense looks like 75% Belldozers

Maybe they’re not. I don’t know. I’ve already shared everything I know about it.
September 16, 20232 yr I don't understand these penalties in the FSU-BC game. Especially the one to start that drive? How can it be delay of game on the defense, because the defender was waving his arms??
September 16, 20232 yr Oh, that was TD FSU. I misunderstood the announcers when I tuned in. I thought BC had the hall. Oops. Edited September 16, 20232 yr by WhatTheBuck
September 16, 20232 yr Wow, that story about the Man in the Red Bandana is getting me dusty eyed. I had never heard that before.

September 16, 20232 yr Matt Campbell really fucked up not cashing out of Iowa State when he had the chance. Big time struggle bus tied 0-0 with Ohio almost to half
September 16, 20232 yr Wisconsin tied with GA southern, 7-7 near half. And Louisville crushing Indiana. Strong showing by the big 10 today.
September 16, 20232 yr The way this announcer is pronouncing “Castellanos” is driving me up the fucking wall. On Dieciséis to boot.
