Won't open actually.  Face ID and touch ID won't unlock it.  I've tried to force restart and also power off with the button sequence thing to no avail.  I presume if I let the battery die I can then charge and restart.  Battery's at 96%, so that would take a few days.

Any suggestions? Call me a boomer, but the old phones and laptops with removable batteries never had this problem.  They'd always die when you pulled the battery.

It's the 7th fetzer valve.  I'm sure of it.

It's low on saltwater.

Don’t you have Apple Care?  Take it to the kids with face piercings.

You don’t even need Apple Care to get it fixed. If it doesn’t require any hardware, it probably won’t cost you a dime.

Better hurry, you only have two more days to watch porn on it.

UPDATE

I waited 3 days and the battery ran out.  Charged it, started it and we're back in business.

Non-stop bender, a long recharge nap and bam ready to go again. It's harder as you get older, but good for your iPad.
