September 19, 20232 yr I'm just now done passing all the brisket and burnt ends. Thank God for apples.

September 21, 20232 yr Author Popular Post Tailgate will be moving locations and joining forces with Texas One Fund. We will have 4 student athletes from Women's and Men's Basketball and perhaps some members of the coaching staff at tailgate doing Q&A, signing stuff and doing photo ops. Tell everyone you know, we will be an NIL tailgate where it is strongly recommended that you sign up for Texas One Fund or Burnt Ends

September 21, 20232 yr Were they hosting a separate tailgate, or they want to host as well and the combination at a larger spot made more sense? Just curious how it came to be. It makes perfect sense to be together.

Well I co-founded Texas One Fund and we threw the most insane tailgate ever in Tuscaloosa that generated over 100k annualized in monthly donations. I think they want to do that instead of the lame stuff they were doing on bevo blvd which had pretty much no results.

And obviously finding the right spot/atmosphere makes a world of difference.
September 21, 20232 yr Author Popular Post We are the de-facto NIL tailgate now, but we haven't had much traffic because I wanted it to be more of a donor haven instead of a donor attraction tailgate. This just moves into a solicitation phase of donation/subscription to Burnt Ends and Texas One Fund to really get NIL activated on the ground. Our first Food and Bev sponsors will be: Texas Style Barbecue from Pinkerton's BBQ Tailgate ready beer and seltzers from Faust Distributing Delicious spirits and ready to drink cocktails from Milestone Brands

September 21, 20232 yr @immamac what tailgate next year is going to be more insane, Michigan or Aggies? Debating on which away game of those two I'd like to attend. Edited September 21, 20232 yr by BurntOrange&White
September 21, 20232 yr Wow that’s really awesome! Love Pinkertons though @immamacis becoming quite the brisket guy. Does the newly merged tailgate take effect the next home game? The basketball players/coaches will also be there? This is wayyyyy cool.

Well, for one of those games...most of us will be staying in a dystopian shithole from a bygone era populated by the dumbest Americans in a vapid black hole of misery and discontent that the rest of the country uses a punchline when discussing places they would not send their worst enemy. As for the other game, we'll be staying in Detroit.

AAS, KVUE, KXAN etc if anyone has any contacts they have please send them my way via DM or intro me via rick@surlyhorns.com we want to get the word out about the NIL tailgate as much as possible to get as much traffic to the tailgating area as possible. Our goal for the Kansas game is to raise 10k annualized. That is 38 Bobby Layne level Texas One Fund subscriptions or ~45 if you mix in a few burnt ends subs here and there.

If Kansas goes well we are going to a bigger 2 tent setup directly behind the LCL main stage. Tent 21 for Kansas and then the highlighted burnt orange area for the rest of the season if we meet our Kansas fundraiser goal. (we were in T11 for reference)
