August 5Aug 5 At the Little Nell in Aspen watching Field of Dreams under the stars on the lawn tonight. A bear showed up about 100 yards up the hill under the Gondola.

September 16Sep 16 Was hiking to emerald lake in RMNP today when this bull and several cows came out of the woods and onto the trail. I had to scamper up onto this boulder to give them space. Took about 15 mins till they stopped grazing on the damn trail and we could pass. Pretty bad ass. They are clearly accustomed to people as they didn't spook, but the bulls are in rut about now, so he was flexing for his audience. PXL_20250916_192019503.mp4

There’s a pumpkin and Pilsner event in EP on Saturday. Not sure how the shutdown would affect going to RMNP

Lot of cars but easy parking. Once you got a couple of hundred feet down the trail it cleared out quick and made for a nice hike with the kids.

October 3Oct 3 When we drive to Breckenridge, Colorado, we almost always cut over at Pueblo onto US 50 then to CO 9 and up through Fairplay into South Park territory.
