I’m surprised that line in the 2005 Rose Bowl didn’t get more play. I remember vividly Vince saying that after the Michigan game, and when all of the hype started after the Texas v. USC title game was set I wondered why the major news outlets weren’t showing that clip and talking about how Vince called his shot.

Owning the Heisman stealer by pitching for a TD minutes after Bush threw Texas the ball on an idiotic pitch is another underappreciated moment.

There wasn’t enough time to cover Texas after swallowing USC’s load every night.
