Who needs open play goals when you can score off set pieces almost at will? 8 goals in the tournament.

Sweden are the football version of the old rockets Twin Towers, except they've got 4 or 5 of them.  Neither aggy nor suisse nor korea could do a fucking thing in the Swedish forest in the box.

England are a mammal of a different color.

6'3" Dier

6'3" Loftus-Cheek

6'3" Cahill

6'2" Maguire

6'2" Stones

6'0" Alli

6'0" Jones

6'0" Kane (when he walks upright)

Also, Henderson is 6'1".  But he's Henderson.

And Welbeck is 6'0".  But he's Welbeck.

England have far better skill/talent going forward so the Lizard can retool and draw up something with Dier, Loftus-Cheek and Alli starting.  Sit Henderson, Alli can do that job.  With Kane, Maguire and Stones on the pitch, you've got SIX (6) targets that are 6'+.  Sverige have not dealt with that.

Ding ding ding.

Pos fucking rep.

Geez, look at the replay - Kane draws THREE defenders around him, that's going to clear a ton of space on corners and other set pieces.

i'm a pool fan....  but i have to repeat a comment from a guardian article in the past month....

"an ounce of henderson oil can foul a litre of english industry"

The English team could be a big threat in the next couple of WC's as well, their junior teams u17 and u20 are both very strong as well, if they manage to actually go all the way here....
With the natural progression of some of the team plus the addition of the young guns they have in the pipeline this could be the dawn of a golden age for England.

STERLING YOU FUCKTARD

No that wasn't an excellent touch by Sterling, Ally!!! Because the keeper got a hand on it!!!

And Sterling should have passed it once he got control, Dele was wide open

Sterling was 1 on 1 versus keeper and didn’t score both times (yes one was offsides) but damn that’s bad
