I am guessing an OL of Tunsil-Jones-Scruggs-Mason-Howard is going to be the best iteration this season. I don't see how the aggy gets his job back next season.

Patterson has actually been pretty good at center. I wonder if he'll stay in the lineup in some form, whether that's at center or LG

CJ Stroud on 3rd & 4th down this season:🚀 37/54🚀 490 yards🚀 4 TDs

The #Texans are moving up those power rankings…National media is taking notice at what’s going on in the H 👀

I will admit, I am absolutely surprised.

Wasn't much of a believer in CJS in preseason or after game 1.  Holy hell, has he improved. We have a real team that's enjoyable to watch, if we can get a run game going.

Patterson would stay at C and Tytus would play LG.

Houston Texans rookies C.J. Stroud, Tank Dell, Jarrett Patterson, Will Anderson and Henry To'oTo'o all named to The Athletics' All-Rookie team at the season's quarter mark. Five total. Pretty damn impressive for Nick Caserio & DeMeco Ryans #WeAreTexans https://t.co/mPbctcB3o7

Outside of the obvious talent we've seen on the field so far, the most exciting thing about Stroud IMO is his belief in himself. His goal is not to be a starting QB and making Pro Bowls. He wants to be the best to ever do it.

Do you mean Scruggs? It is interesting that they are moving Howard to LG, I guess they like Fant at RT.

Juice is more athletic and has faster feet and would most likely be better at C once he is ready in a few weeks. Patterson has played well and would be an excellent backup to have going forward. aggy LG is already a bust and most likely a training camp cut next year.

Christian Harris out with a concussion, big loss there for Houston Texans.

Think it’s more that Howard is better at his off-position than anyone else on the line would be….

Can’t get stuffed for a 6 yard loss again on a run. We ran it on the right side on that play and when we got stuffed on 3rd and 1. Run it behind Tunsil blocking.

Tough 1st half but will take it being up 9-7. Stroud once again gets us points in the 2 minute offense. Great job by him and Slowik.

Demeco Ryans has changed the defensive culture.

Slowik and CJ have changed the offense and made it dynamic with average NFL talent.

For the first time since they were formed, I'm not watching the Texans to see how they're going to lose.

I still hate the name "Texans" for the Houston football team, but I'm get over it.

Need a TD drive here; it’s the 4th quarter, don’t waste any more time trying to ‘establish’ anything. Go up-tempo, throw the fucking ball…

I agree, should have kept the space city theme. Rockets, Astros, Comets. Apollos would have been cool. Starkillers, Supernovas, meteors, red dwarfs, Neptunes, etc, lots to work with if they didn't give in to the post 9/11 'merica stuff.

Like I said yesterday.

Too much time.

Lol so what would you have done differently on that drive, “take more time”? How, specifically?

Yep. They took 5 minutes off the clock to score which included several running plays.

#290

Oh.  Nothing that could be done.  Just a statement.

Maybe score more during the rest of the game.

😀

Too bad. But least the team seems be going in the right direction and has a QB

There might be hope

#292

Stroud came through in crunch time. Just take your lumps this year. Rome wasn't built in a day.

#294

Can't be too upset, this is a team that's on the right path, but isn't ready to contend... yet. Lot of things to be happy about even in a loss, Demeco seems like a good coach so far, and the team has a lot of promising young players.

Disappointing result. I’m still 100% bullish on this team. We’ll make adjustments and be better for it. There are still some big holes on this roster that are killing us. Imagine adding a TE like LaPorta or Bowers on this team next year. We also need a shiftier RB to add to the stable.

And an OC / QB Coach that isn't a shitty GM.

Did they ever fire that douchebag from New England? I haven't been paying that much attention beyond the games.

Too many FGs. Could never put them away despite the two TOs in the 3Q. Pierce is a good backup RB, but his vision is awful and he leaves a lot of yards on the field.

I knew we were losing when we scored too quickly same with Texas yesterday. It's just too easy to move the ball in today's game.
