July 5, 20187 yr I missed this mini series when it came out, but I saw that Encore had all 10 episodes playing in a row today and recorded them all. Is it worth watching, or should I go ahead and free up some space on my DVR?
July 5, 20187 yr No. Yes Some of the worst TV ever produced. Bad writing, bad acting, and the locations used do not remotely resemble Texas...but that's just, like my opinion, man.

Ton of acting talent but it really whiffed on the writing and, as was said, the scenery didn't match up.
July 5, 20187 yr I vaguely remember Ray Liotta as an Alamo survivor turned Punisher type character, Santa Anna hiding out in one of the many caves of San Jacinto, and Sam Houston holding meetings in the desert landscape of the runaway scrape.
July 5, 20187 yr It was so bad, I blocked it from my memory. Wasn't their some chick sleeping with Santa Ana that was a love child of Sam Houstonnor some shit?
July 5, 20187 yr Hey, dont forget the great herds of buffalo in the wide open plains around Nacogdoches awful doesnt even remotely describe the show

July 6, 20187 yr If I remember right, they got the date wrong for the Battle of the Alamo in the opening "crawl." The movie only went downhill from there.
