December 9, 20241 yr There aren't many former players I root for more than him. Hopefully he can get healthy and get a second paycheck

December 9, 20241 yr Get his ass to Germany. And see the must see doctor everyone talks about. No idea who it is. But I always read athletes flying to Germany

December 9, 20241 yr wonder if they just buy out the remainder of that, 1.2mil or so …. Jonathon Brooks signed a 4 year , $8,417,082 contract with the Carolina Panthers, including $2,941,512 signing bonus, $4,914,107 guaranteed,

Really fucking brutal to have to do the rehab ALL OVER AGAIN on the same leg. The rookie finally made his first appearance in the Panthers uniform on Nov. 24 against the Kansas City Chiefs following 10 weeks of absence. However, Brooks wouldn't make it much farther into the season. He suffered a devastating non-contact injury that was later evaluated as another ACL tear in his right knee in the team's 22-16 loss versus the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 8. Yeah, sucks it's the same knee. Tough to come back from two injuries same knee. Save your money JB!!! 🤘

May 8May 8 Goddamn it. Why is it always the good ones who deserve this and work so hard have these set backs. Fuck
May 8May 8 That's not super surprising as he tore it in December. He would have been in for a repeat of last year where he wouldn't be ready to come back until the tail end of the 2025 season. Not a terrible idea to no rush it and give him plenty of time to recover after back to back tears. Edited May 8May 8 by kevwun

A full year+ of recovery is a good idea at this point. They drafted Etienne so if JB needs to move on in a year hopefully he's back to as close to 100% as possible. And Carolina isn't exactly the cream of the crop franchise- wise anyway and a clean start elsewhere might help also.

May 11May 11 Hopefully he makes it back to have some kinda NFL career. The way he dominated in high school was beyond impressive, he single handily took Hallettsville to the state championship game and then lost it in overtime on a trick play that was thrown to the receiver he was covering and he didn’t think the play started until after a couple seconds. He had 3,530 yards and 62 rushing TD’s his senior year.
May 11May 11 I’d love to see Sark offer him a GA coaching slot if he can’t make it back to the field in the NFL. He and guys like J Whit are perfect role models for small school Texas kids who aspire to make it to the power programs who have to overcome all the hurdles out there in the recruiting world which is primarily getting noticed since a lot of the focus is on the larger schools in the metro areas. And now with NIL and the transfer portal it makes this even more difficult. Edited May 11May 11 by Nueces River Rat
