who wants to start a youtube channel where a couple of texas guys go to britain and eat jellied eel, blood sausage, and haggis?

you'd have many surly posters volunteer to try the spotted dick !

...but even more who could provide the ingredients.

Wait...wut?

That channel is at its best when it features the high schoolers.

Josh and Ollie are OK but they subscribe to the "overreact to everything and pretend it's the greatest ever" formula that most reaction channels exhibit. The kids are much more genuine.

one of the kids on the butterfinger bites:

”it’s like a rock, covered in chocolate…and then more rock.”

I like the videos just fine, but cannot stand the stupid overreaction look on their face on the preview photo

ranch on meatloaf?

1/10 and fuck, I hate myself, I’d try it.

their trip to detroit showed that the city is just as bleak, and dark, and wet, and pasty white as i’d always imagined it. and their tailgate food sucks.

Not Kroger brand though Chef.

believe it or not, i’ve never actually been to little caesar’s myself, so this has been quite illuminating for me:

As is blood sausage/black pudding.  I have some in my freezer right now - may make it for breakfast this weekend.

Never had jellied eels.  But....I'd try 'em.

How did you get real black pudding here?  Sneak it home in your luggage?  I love that shit.

1) I have some that I get at Fiesta.  Yes, Fiesta.  They have a small section of frozen brit food, and they sell little tubes of it -- this stuff:

2) And I also have a pack of the bigger slices, from Marks & Spencer, that my daughter froze and then smuggled to me last time she visited from London.

Broke out the M&S black pudding for breakfast this morning. Went full international. Added eggs with red chili and toast with French strawberry preserves.

Looks a little light on preserves.

The appropriate amount of jelly/jam is always “more.”

Yeah, but just one piece of bacon is all kinds of fucked up.

Not unfair. Made three pieces for the wife, I chose to go with the black pudding as my main breakfast meat dish…but I needed at least one piece. For science.

I'm in Scotland now. Haggis will be consumed.

Fuck yes. If you don’t order and consume at least one “full Scottish” breakfast with haggis and black pudding, I’ll punch your grandma.

I love all their modern approach to Haggis as well. Especially when it’s deep fried.

My dad’s high school classmate immigrated to Edinburgh from Malaysia… this is his charming little neighborhood place. Good full Scottish there:

this was from a few weeks ago, but it looks like it hasnt been posted.

one of them has roped in their very British father to come along and try Texas BBQ... and the reactions of the old gent are kind of cool,

although the boys cant tell the difference between a cow and buffalo head, the real funny part is "what is a Jalapeno?"

for all of the over-reacting they do, you know they reel y love when they’re both left speechless:

That was a fairly recent trip.  They've only been serving the beet salad for a month or so.  I think I know what I'm getting for lunch tomorrow (not the beets, though).

nothing like a good old fashioned Texan vs British, “no, allow me to pay!” standoff:

not a great promotional video for english cuisine. they can’t even get fast food right.

i can’t imagine spending my whole life eating beans and toast, and pea and carrot pies and shit, and then one day out of nowhere you just get handed some burnt ends, some brisket sandwiches, beef ribs, etc. food is going to be ruined for these kids from now on (even though tbf it doesn’t look like it’s actually the greatest bbq ever- not that they would know).

The new one with Arnold is pretty entertaining.

This episode of the Grand Tour was amazing as to what a shit hole Detroit has become and reminds me of a friend talking about all these ancient ruins you can visit in Europe and the Middle East of large, industrious cities for their times that just went away over time.

again, a seafood boil must just blow your mind when you’re from the UK. i can’t even imagine.

also, holy shit their king has sausage fingers.

The goal of an American breakfast is to eat it while hot.  You can tell the scrambled eggs were cold and butter didn't melt on the pancakes.

haha 😄 not surprised they don't know really know any presidents before their lifetimes, im sure i could barely recognize a handful of PMs

but interesting...as Brits i would have guessed they were taught about American colonization and independence, but apparently not 🤔

Kansas 🤣

even jolly has a tough time trying to pretend that raising cane’s isn’t absolute dog shit. “disgusting” and “repulsive” aren’t usually descriptors used by either of these guys, but it definitely applies here.
