Guys who bitch about Salt Lick would also complain about a blow job from Sydney Sweeney if she didn’t put her hair in a ponytail beforehand.

How dare you insult her with this comparison.

We’re all ready to bitch today. Locked and loaded. It’s the best part of surly.

malik's day will be determined by the O-line: does it stay in hibernation or start the road to back to the form we had in tuscaloser

barton springs chuychanga fresh-rolled (NOT FROZEN like they serve at the non-austin stores)

queso AND hatch

extra lettuce, tomato & japs

get off my lawn

He better get the ball out quick or he's going to get sacked a ton

I imagine his size will help make it a little harder to sack him than most.

What does his dick size have to do with this?

i expect sark to try some pulls, sweeps, stuff to break the pattern, to 6th's point get the ball on the move quickly.....

that stuff is in the playbook, right?

Establish the run game and quick check downs first to make them bite, then have Maalik hit em with the deep ball.

Run game is gonna have to be stubborn.  They actually don't give up consistent yards on runs, but they will break on occasion and give up a big play.

Kansas gashed them and stuck with it. Good call

He should be able to see over the line better than Quinn and hopefully get the ball out quicker

Gives him a third leg to help keep balance, and harder to tip over.

And we might as well just from talent gap.  But statistically, they hold a lot of runs to short gains.  It's one pf the few things their defense isn't terrible at.

His cartoon windup will probably negate any extra time he gains (assuming his processing is faster, which is doubtful in game 1)

welp, we have a play for that to provide real hospitality for brethren guests - RIGHT UP THE MIDDLE EVERY 2ND DOWN

It never rains in Austin.

I don’t remember being more soaked at a game. It was a moderate but steady downpour the entire game, and the ponchos didn’t do shit.

You're just asking for it.

I can only opine based on what I’ve seen.  Of Maalik, to be fair, it’s relatively little in very limited garbage time snaps.  In that limited action, I wasn’t seeing a whole lot in the passing game and what stuck out is he throws the ball hard, perhaps too hard for WR tastes.  Maybe he had a leash on him that will be taken off today for a more fair assessment of his skills in a starting role.  Will be interesting to see whether The Horns plug him into the Ewers’ offensive role or change the play book to cater to his skill set.  Definitely ready for the possibility of a Simms-Applewhite revival though that may become a 3-way once (if) Ewers is due to return

Texas v Missouri 1996 is the all-timer

Exactly what I was thinking. Mizzou punted from deep in their own territory when the storm was blowing in and the ball maybe went 15 yards because the wind and rain were so intense. Later Ricky Williams carried some poor Mizzou player into the end zone a la Earl vs SMU, which seemed to be a fitting metaphor for the game itself.

We ran out of alcohol and sent the pledges out to reload during the delay.

Since Dallas has been getting hammered with rain, I was hoping that maybe Austin was too and it would br a sloppy run it all game type of game which you’d hope would favor us. But doesn’t look like that’s going to happen

San Jacinto Blvd was a river after that game.  Later, I remember on Sportscenter they caught some soaked co-Ed throwing back a bottle of something at the top of stadium (commentary was “someone check her ID”) so you weren’t alone in that booze run ; )

She was with our group.

I vaguely remember a state trooper stepping in front of me as I was about to go sliding across the field.

Just found out my friend is working the chains at the game today.  So if we get screwed on a spot, I know who to kill.

For some reason I can't edit my above post to show the Ricky Williams TD in that 1996 Missouri game, but Ricky will not be denied:

A classmate friend of mine was one of the bellyflop sliders in the water -- and was the only one who did it and was arrested who wasn't drunk.

He didn't worry -- his lawyer-dad had him out of custody in a couple hours.  Lulz.
