Seriously. Any GM that would give Dana value for JS should be fired immediately.

So should any gm that rosters him in the playoffs.  Too soon?

Most especially any manager that pinch hits him with the bases loaded in a fucking playoff game instead of Chad McCormick. Thanks for bringing back that memory I had suppressed.

It’s a little long, but Believe me, at the end of the year everything will be fine... We will be in the World Series again." works for the 2025 slogan.

Rostering Singleton is tricky as he’s out of options. I don’t know the rules inside and out but I’m guessing that starting him out in the minors doesn’t count as an option so that’s probably the way to go.

How is it tricky? If you DFA'd him tomorrow, there isn't a team that would sign him to a MLB contract.

Dylan Coleman once struck out Yordan Alvarez on a 100.7 mph fastball while with the Royals. The big guy with the big fastball is on a mission to make the Astros.https://t.co/7mD0BmMOQs

23rd is about where I would rank him for his playoff performance too.

Bregman when asked about that playful spat with Trevor “Tyler” Bauer years before he was blackballed from MLB. Before the allegations. Before he threw a ball back over the batters eye like a child. Y’all want this in your clubhouse??

Yainer Diaz will call his own games. Joe Espada trusts his catcher and is showing that confidence in him. The most important thing for Diaz is to get on the same page as some of the veterans, like Justin Verlander, and call the game like THEY want it. Not for them to get on his…

So the starting pitchers know how to shake their head instead of nod it?
Then they are calling their own game, same as it ever has been.

Prior to the first full-squad workout, Joe Espada said Ronel Blanco will start Saturday’s Grapefruit League opener. More importantly, Espada said his primary players will all play from the get-go. That’s a change from recent years.

JP re-tooled his batting stance.

That’s a … really different look from Jeremy Peña, who has quieted his batting stance down a ton. Makes good contact here in a live BP against Ryan Pressly.

He's too damn strong to be hitting grounders to short every time. Hopefully simplifying things will help.

Love it man, keep things a loose ….

Astros catcher Luke Berryhill, an aspiring country singer/songwriter, played and performed his new single to his teammates and coaches in the clubhouse today. He got huge applause, sources say.
Sounds like the Astros had an eventful pre-workout team meeting today. They wished Justin Verlander a happy 41st birthday before minor league catcher Luke Berryhill played his new single “Road To The Show” in front of the entire team. It got rave reviews.
