April 6, 20241 yr Holy hell Draymond is the cheapest motherfucker in the history of the league. Can't believe I used to like that piece of shit.

Dude has his arm around Gafford’s neck on a rebound and the refs just choose to be blind to it. Pelicans and Kings both lose. So a loss tonight is not the end of the world. Would be really awesome to steal one though.
April 6, 20241 yr Tim Hardaway Jr sucks. So worn out watching him play on both ends of the court. Edited April 6, 20241 yr by Firemans4Horn

I just don’t understand why he cannot shoot for this extended period of time. He’s always been streaky, but damn, this is painful. Maybe they’ll let him work his way out of it during some meaningless games the last week. I still feel like he can get hot and win us a game.

April 6, 20241 yr Well that was stupid. Why are we running the offense through a banged up DJJ? call a timeout. Kyrie!
April 6, 20241 yr Our defense has been brutal down the stretch. Way too many layups and open shots for GSW.
April 6, 20241 yr So now that the Mavs have the tie breaker over NO, they’re basically locked in to a top 6 seed barring the worst collapse of all time. Mavs can pick their preferred 1st round matchup IMO. If they want to rest Luka 1-2 games, I don’t think that’s a bad decision.
April 6, 20241 yr Author Damn this team is fun to watch on D. Said no one six weeks ago. What an incredible turnaround. It's fortuitous the NBA told the refs to swallow their whistles after the ASB right when we picked up gaff and PJ but our entire team to a man has levelled up from the addition of these two players. The ref crew was bad for both sides. I cringe every time I see that girl ref, she's one of the worst in the league and she made 4 terrible no calls/calls tonight. Even my wife who only watches a few games every year noticed without me saying anything.
April 7, 20241 yr They just refuse to die. Unreal watching the confidence guys have when playing with Kyrie.
April 8, 20241 yr Mark Followill is a national fucking treasure. (Hat tip to Harp for calling it too).
April 8, 20241 yr I thought about going to the game yesterday. Went from being very happy with that decision for 99% of the game to regretting it. Crazy finish. Hopefully can lock in that top 6 spot quickly and get Luka and others some rest.

April 10, 20241 yr Just need NO or Phoenix to lose and that clinches no play-in. I didn’t realize there are 6 days off if you’re not in the play-in. That is huge.
April 10, 20241 yr Yeah I was thinking about joining Team Rest until you pointed that out @LurkingHorn. I'll stay on Team Reps for now, but if they decide to start resting Luka/Kai it won't bother me a bit. We're stuck at the 6.
April 10, 20241 yr I personally lean toward not playing Luka and Kryie on a back-to-back tonight. Very little to be gained. If reps are important, you could always play them the final 2.
April 10, 20241 yr We are out of the play in. We are not out of a possible matchup with Denver in the first round. We either need to lock in the 5-seed, or Denver needs to clinch 2 or higher. Once either of those happens, then rest rest rest.

Mavs just need 1 win or a NO loss and the 5-seed is locked. NO has the Kings (who are desperately trying to avoid the play-in themselves), LAL, and GS. All those teams have something to play for. If the Mavs lose tonight, they can go all-out against Detroit at home on Friday if NO hasn't lost by then. Hell, I think they should play the starters regardless in the game since there's such a long break. Just no need to be aggressive on a B2B.

Him, Gafford, PJ, Exum and DJJ have been absolute crucial pickups in the last 14 months. This team is so much fun, and all of these guys are playing key roles. Need Lively to come back healthy for playoffs. It's pretty crazy how all of these trades were poorly thought of pretty universally and they've all looked like amazing bargains. Nico has done an incredible job
