Was thinking about taking the kids (7,4) on our way to Galveston.

TripAdvisor reviews make it seem like it is a overcrowded cluster. I thought tickets seemed pricey.

Is it worth it, especially for the ages of my kids? Things to skip or make it more enjoyable? Cheapest way for tickets?

Went last week with ages 16, 13, and 9.

It is pricey and not sure a 4 yr old would enjoy it yet considering the price  We went on a Sunday and got there 20ish minutes before opening.

That gave us time for 1 tram tour to Mission Control and the Saturn Rocket V hangar.  Kinda long but seeing the history was cool.  Note that Mission Control is under a remodel effort so you only see about half of the original configuration.

The shit-show of crowds started around 11am and that really affects the food court, tram rides, and simulator rides.

You can reserve times. The shuttle mockup on the 747 is cool as is the Saturn 5 and both mission controls. The actual visitor center is ok.
