I think I've purchased every issue since '91; read my father's issues before that.  Not perfect but still worth a buy in the interwebs age.

Roschon is the #1 QB.

My high school - Garland - may still be the worst 6A team in history.

Dumbass aggy on the cover.

Frodo is on the cover?   Don’t they usually have alternate covers?   Guess I’m gonna have to draw dicks on it.

I think Dave beat everyone to that one...

I don't subscribe to anything and rarely read mags, but I buy a gotdam DCTF nearly every year..it was pretty cool seeing my name mentioned back in the day, (HS) and dad always bought one and still does afaik.

Don't know if I can stomach the ring bearer on the cover this year though, I could handle an aggy player or two, but not Jimbo Baggins. This may have to be one of my skip years, I'll skim through dad's copy next time I visit the rents..

Isn't the cover regional? Swear I just saw a burnt orange one the other day with Ehlinger on the cover.

I'm not sure about the issues being regional.  I always thought there was just one cover - hence the "big" reveal every year.

The front cover does have a fold-in with that badass Houston d lineman, but I'm not sure it would fold over in a way to cover up Baggins.

There are two covers. One with Jimbo and one with Ed Oliver. Herman was on the cover last year.

Besides ole Dave has to sell these things and that often leads to a sub optimal batting average in how the cover is positioned.

Prima facie

The mag seems to try to hard to impress every team's fans.

It has an All-Texas team.  North Texas has the top QB.  On defense, SMU has 3 players in the 2-deep.  Texas is tied with Texas State with 2.  Only Boyd and Hager made it.  There's no way Gary Johnson and Malcolm Roach aren't 2 of the best defenders in the state.

Yeah, it's pretty laughable.

Where is the summer edition? It’s not at Barnes & Noble and it’s not listed for sale on the DCTF site.

It's out somewhere.  I got my via my subscription to Dave Campbell's almost a month ago.

I saw my dad in Waco last week. Driving out, I stopped at the TSHOF off University Parks and bought an issue.

Holy heck! Dave Campbell's Texas Football just released their first-ever fold-out cover:

Found it at Cedar Park B&N yesterday.

The Sark edition is on shelves like normal. The Elko edition requires a dolly to grab from the back of the store.

I finally found a copy in the Humble Barnes & Noble. Pretty glowing predictions for Texas, but that dork Mike Craven thinks we’re going to fOSU and Georgia. He also predicted Penn State with well known regard James Franklin as their HC will win the national championship.

Unfortunately, as much shit as the magazine gets, they went 12 for 12 predicting our Wins and Losses last season.

They don’t use an index that I’m aware of. They just see a difficult road game and mark it as a loss.
