I'm not sure if that fully covers all reparations that they owe us, but it's close.

My cousin sent me these...not sure if this was 88 or 89. I remember being so excited about standing on the field...took home a handful of the crushed brick from the warning track. Also remember thinking the players were HUGE. Got a few autographs and got to run the bases. Ruben Sierra, Cecil Espy, Scott Fletcher, Bobby Witt, Jim Sundberg.

Find something dumber than baseball HoF voting.

Aggy, but it's surprisingly close.

Hey, I just wanted to take a minute to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. People don't spend much time or thought on personal messages to their friends and family these days - they just copy and paste some random message and send it on.

So after all we've been through this year, I want to thank you for your help and wish you all a happy and fulfilling 2018 - you’re the best gymnastics group anyone could ask for. Best wishes, Helen

We already did this.

Good luck to Garver. Glad we finally had him healthy and on a hot streak at just the right time. He will be remembered well.

I usually stay away from baseball from Thanksgiving to mid January. But had to post what my wife and kids got me for Christmas.

The autographed card is Jerry Don gleaton. Who played two (of his 12) major league years with the rangers. My grandfather was his little league coach.ba6ea83942cbd2dac4ae45f71e2598fd.jpg

Austin Bibens-Dirkx. Remember when he won a pitchers duel against Max Scherzer?

There are some sportwriters who, for some reason, think NOBODY should go in unanimously.

Nolan Ryan only received 98.8% of the vote, for Christ's sake.

Just another Butthurt Beantown Hack. Beltre spent one season (2010) with the Red Sox before signing with the Rangers where he finished his career as one of the best third basemen of all time.

90 million dollars is one thing, but I really think me drunkenly accosting Montgomery at the parade is what really sealed this deal. His thumbs up was pretty fucking telling.

thank you for your service

Dunning for $3.325 is nice. Wish we could've turned that into a bigger 3 year deal for him, something like 3/$15 but oh well. We also signed Sam huff's insurance policy, Andrew Knizner. I know nothing about him but he looks like has decent pop.

Go get the Japanese Babe Ruth.  He's worth it.

That shot and arrow placement makes it look like they plan to breed him

He’ll make the roster over Sam. Was a decent prospect, never panned out.
Also sounds like he was well liked by the StL fans and a good clubhouse guy.

MLB.com is saying Rangers and Yankees are potential front runners for Hector Neris.

Not sure who is more correct but are they gonna argue over less than 2 million?  Will be good for him to be making at least 5 though.

That's a weird comment to make on a post from 2 months ago but thanks.

Give him 6 and close the books on arb.

Seems unlikely it’ll actually go to arbitration; we haven’t had that happen in 24 years, and to your point in baseball terms the difference is nothing….

Give him even more than he is asking for ........  but all the extra comes after he retires.

Before anyone gets happy about the Bally's/Amazon news and start thinking about signing Montgomery, this little nugget was in the NY Post story from this morning:

Quote

Diamond, which broadcasts under the Bally’s brand, will continue to televise the 11 MLB teams for which it has rights, including the World Series champion Texas Rangers, on cable. Though it may dump the Rangers and the Cleveland Indians before it emerges from bankruptcy, sources said.

Don’t care if Rangers aren’t in the initial go round. This is good news for streamers.
The trend is your friend.
