Absolutely.

I feel like this bankruptcy is legitimately handcuffing Chris Young right now.  I think we'd see more action on the FA front if we had an idea on what money was going to be coming in.

If 5/95 was Hader’s price, I’m glad we didn’t sign him. The last 2 years (at least) of that deal are gonna be rough when he’s rolling out there in the 5th…

I’m having a hard time understanding this tv deal. I mean, I’m sure that chunk of money is a huge part of the operations side of things, but is it so much so that it’s holding us hostage from making any moves at all? Like, there’s not even 1.9 million available to get Adolis signed? Or a few extra million for Montgomery? Maybe another decent bullpen guy? I feel like I spend enough on beer at Globe Life during the season to at least get Adolis taken care of.

In unrelated news, the life expectancy among Rangers fans with a history of cardiac issues just increased by 3.8 years.

He's absolutely my favorite player of all time. I'm so happy for him.

He was the first former player I thought of when the beat Arizona. I loved watching Sierra, Juan, Pudge, Josh, Napoli, Nolan and others but none more than him.

I wish he could've played on better teams.

I wish we could have thrown 1 more strike...

And yes, if he's not my favorite Ranger ever, he's #2.   Just an absolute joy to watch him play the game.

no other player i know of really turned it on offensively so late like he did.  good hitter until he is 30. great hitter thereafter.  significant mvp votes every year.

Was there to see his 3,000th hit. One of my favorite players of all time. Great accomplishment.

duffy might be the bridge UIF til we give foscue a look?

Likely. I still think we bring in a DH-type, but 2 of Little Josh/Zeke/Duffy are breaking camp now. Wish Jank would come back to play 4th OF.

There are some sportwriters who, for some reason, think NOBODY should go in unanimously.
Nolan Ryan only received 98.8% of the vote, for Christ's sake.

Forgot about that. But it seems that there was a story titled “here is why I didn’t vote for Nolan” or similar. Pull his credentials.

I saw this poster at Wal Mart today. The child inside me refused to let me leave the store without one. It was under $6.

There are still people, some of them with a vote, that will argue honestly that Nolan shouldn’t be in the hall at all. And use stats like most walks ever, winning %, lack of cy young wins.

This ain’t cool.

The Rangers announced to reporters, including Jeff Wilson of Rangers Today, that shortstop Corey Seager underwent sports hernia surgery today. He apparently suffered the injury during the postseason but it hasn’t improved in recent months, eventually leading him to go under the knife. The club is hopeful he could be ready for Opening Day. “The concern level is not very high,” general manager Chris Young said, per Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Per Wilson, the club is unlikely to add an extra infielder this offseason as a result of this development.

Crap.  I knew having such large balls could have its drawbacks.

Well he did carry them in the World Series.
It was a heavy lift.

Isn’t the recovery generally 6-8 weeks on that?

Just going on record say I love the Creed house song, shit is bumping. Fuck all them heighters

Drunk and karaokeing on a Wednesday? Must be nice
