ooohhh, good ones. Marlon Byrd had one of the most beautiful catches in CF I think I've ever seen.

Nope. That would be…

Gary Mathews Jr against the Agstros.

Well, we're going to see a lot more of Wash now.

Breaking: Angels hire Ron Washington for their manager job

I love Wash and am glad he's getting another shot. I'm worried he's working for a dysfunctional franchise but that's the way baseball go.

I forgot how fucking loud The Temple got during the runs of ‘10 and ‘11. Also, I know with the roof now we’re restricted, but I loved how red everything got with the HR fireworks. All that to say this is an awesome video.

Having gone to many games now I think I have enough of a sample size to say: TBIA/GLP is 10x better than the new Globe Life Field except for the air conditioning in the summer.

Negative. Both great ballparks. New one is better. If for the simple reason we can now attract pitching.

💯 concur. TBIA had some charm and character. The new park is like “generic modern stadium” in sim city.

I was at this game sitting in the lower level in right-center field.  Was pretty neat to see it from that POV.

You know, Wednesday nights really kinda suck after baseball season is over.

Yeah, me and my wife wound up watching "Speed" with Sandra Bullock. Especially for me, at least during the regular season not the palyoffs so much, I do chores and catch up on paperwork during commercials. No what do I do??

Not when your team is the MF’N WORLD SERIES CHAMPS

I am watching the condensed version of every playoff game we have on the MLB app, which started at game 3 of the Baltimore series. I guess as time passed, the older games dropped off. Will never get old re living these moments.

The coolest thing about re watching the clinching game is you just start in the 6th and go forward. It’s great Wednesday night TV.

Seager and Semien are just the 4th pair of A.L. teammates, and 6th duo overall, to win Silver Slugger Awards at 2B and SS in the same season since the awards began in 1980. Last overall instance: 2007 Phillies (Utley/Rollins). Last A.L. instance: 2006 Yankees (Canó/Jeter).

#167

This is cooler.

The Rangers have been selected as winner of the inaugural Silver Slugger Award as Offensive Team of the Year in the American League. Texas led the A.L. in all 4 slash categories (.263/.337/.452/.790) for 1st time in franchise history, leading league w/ 881 R and 233 HR (tied).

Jung plays a full season and Devers is in 2nd place. Kid is special, and it's gonna be hard for anyone else to see that because of Carter and Langford.

So2 aren’t you the college football guy? I finally got a good one, I am so +20 tonight. Somebody make a thread so I can be ultra ubbbnoxioo

#171

I can be obnoxious here. As George Washington cross the Delaware with a nice football, he said I’ll take that 20.

Saw this today which got me thinking about where the trophy might go out at the ballpark. At Wrigley, they keep theirs in room where you can enter and take pictures of and with the trophy. In Philadelphia, it's out in an area behind the outfield. Can't remember where the Giants keep theirs. I think it was in the club level behind home plate. I really hope a tour isn't the only way to see it next season.

WE ARE CHAMPIONS 🏆️💍Join us for championship tours at Globe Life Field where you can take a photo with the trophy and see behind the scenes spaces such as the Press Box, Media Interview Room, Visiting Clubhouse! 🎟️: https://t.co/zTPVnFXOnv

I was getting tired of a) having to watch Atlanta to see him and b) having to wait for someone to m ke it to third to see him work

I may put this on a shirt and wear it to the next parade.

I thought this entire site was defined as shit posting. Points need to be issued for clear concise well thought out arguments.

Why the fuck does every second half of a UT football game feel just like taking the starter out a rangers game????

How does Jung not even make the top three for ROY?

Triston Casas 40 more walks and substandard 1st base defense was more valuable than Josh's premium 3rd base defense and otherwise identical offensive numbers, in the eyes of the Boston loving baseball writers

i'm not upset about our guys not getting the individual awards.  i think this year is the rare case of a manager really having a huge positive effect.  he chess-matched the hell out of every playoff game and had us win a world series where it didn't look exactly like we had the individual talent to do so.

#200

Manager of the year comp:

83 wins to 101 wins yoy, won Al east, lost all 3 playoff games played.

68 wins to 90 wins, 11-0 on the road in the playoffs, World Series championship.

Aside from the AL east bias probably at play, I think it’s a 2 year award for Hyde for doubling wins in 2 seasons.  Maybe payroll had something to do with it, but anyone that follows the game should know that salaries don’t correlate to performance.
