  • No wonder Michigan got its ass kicked by TCU last season. Probably the first offense they saw all season that didn't run it between the tackles 80% of the game.

  • Fuck urban and everything but no wonder he wrecked shop in this conference. They must have thought he was a sorcerer or from outer space or something.

Ohio St's offense is the only offense that can consistently travel outside the conference and have success. They have speed and playmakers. Usually a good QB. The rest of Big 10 offenses are dorky as fuck. Very little speed or playmakers. Easily the most boring conference to watch.

They beat WVU, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, UMass, IU, and Maryland. They scored 12 against the Buckeyes.

That’s how they are 8-1 with such a high-scoring offense.

Ohio St only scored 17 against ND.

Penn State’s James Franklin drops to 4-16 against Ohio State & Michigan

Going for 2 there was correct. The play was terrible.

No it wasn’t. Kick the PAT and you are still mathematically in the game only needing one possession to potentially tie it.  Miss the 2-pt and you need two more possessions.  The goal is to keep the game alive as long as possible.

Why not kick the extra point? Holy $hit is Franklin disabled?

You need a 2-pt conversion on one TD or the other.  Analytics say go for it on the first one and know for sure what you need after that.

Not enough time for it to matter here, but it's technically correct.

The play call was not.

You need a 2 point conversion. Trying it first lets you know if you need 2 or 3 more possessions.

We need Ohio St to smash this team by 4 plus TDs. They surely will drop below Texas in the rankings.

You kick the XP to keep the pressure on the other team and your own team motivated.  Knowing you need 3 possessions does no good because the game is over.

No, the goal is to win. You are correct that the mentality you cite is why people don't go for it there. Lots of people would prefer to find out they are going to lose with no time left for some reason. They lose either way.

By trying it after the first TD you find out whether it's successful. That is the key piece of information needed to determine your clock strategy for the end of the game.

This is what people are asking for when they say to run the ball 40 times a game.

#438

What's Penn State's sideline signal for run the ball? What about have our QB throw a bad pass? What about run the clown formation for a 2-pt conversion we absolutely have to have?

Whatever it is, they better change it because Michigan exploited it.

I hate Ohio state so much but I hope the fucking destroy Michigan.

Just a reminder, I had a neighbor who once said, “Jerry quit coaching to help kids.”

The GodPaCult members still drive around here with bumper stickers that say, “We Are, Because He Was”.

They are pure evil.

Yep. Momentum is the most important thing at that point. Fuck the numbers.

How is it possible that Penn State can’t find a QB better than this chump?

Because it’s Penn State????

Officially, Michigan ends the game having run the ball on its final 32 consecutive snaps, covering half of the second quarter, all of the third quarter and all of the fourth quarter.(pass interference during the streak counts as a NO PLAY statistically)Bo and Les are proud.
