79 guys made the cut... and they’re all tied for the lead

  • Man I don't care what anybody says. That dude in that Sunday red with that look walking up to the first tee is still an awesome sight.

I think the glutes are firing

Some BIG names sitting at -5.
Think any of them have a chance? They are 4 back now.
Have to think one of the five guys between -6 and -9 right now will get to at least -11 tomorrow, which would mean the -5 guys would need a 65.
Today’s low round when the course was laying down for the most part was a 64.

Molinari has been on a world class roll lately.  He was my pick before the week started.  I feel like he's got the best chance of the dudes 3 shots back or more.  But he'll need some help.

everything depends on the weather, if it's blowing a steady 20, ain't nobody shooting 65.

Yeah I picked him in a pool I’m in as well.
Wish he weren’t paired with Tiger though.

Tee times are a littler earlier on Sunday.

Spieth and Zander with an X go off at 8:45 central

Horns book-end the proceedings.

Hossler out first at 2am Central.

Jordan needs to go tomorrow and play exactly like today: loose as a goose!

It’s going to be more windy so he’ll have to play a little differently. But he has the best head so he should be the favorite.

Probably in the event of a playoff

Yeah, hate to say this, but that head will explode sometimes tomorrow. I said it before. I don't think he has a chance.

Who do you like better? I smell a bet.

Apparently, your spidey senses are disengaged.

Jordan will win this. It won’t be easy but he’ll pull it out because of his experience in majors.

If not Jordan, would like to see Tiger get his 15th first come from behind major. I'll just tune out the media and the Tiger fan bois for a couple weeks.

If either Web or ZJ, I'll turn it off and pretend it didnt happen.

i just hope we get some shots of allison stokke in the crowd

Couldn't tell if Jordan was trying to be funny, or if he was a little snarky there.

He came off sounding like a prick, which was a little off-putting.

Normally seems like class act, but was a little prissy today

Before the final round kicks off, I was wondering if anyone could explain this ENGLISH sport to me.

What's the cutoff point for contenders today?  I'm thinking anyone -5 or better right now is still in it.  I think Spieth would have to be the guy to put money on.  If he falters I don't see a clear #2 favorite.  You have a bunch of guys without much experience contending in the final round of a major, and a couple with a lot of experience but who knows what you will get with them on any given day (Rory and Tiger).  If Spieth blows up it could be glorious havoc with the rest of the field.  I don't see Spieth blowing up but this is probably the most unpredictable major they play.   One thing for sure, with the top of the field as tight as it is anyone who Van Der Veldes a hole (or Fowler's it if they are playing #6) is going to be out of it.  If the wind blows everyone is going to make some bogies, but not everyone is going to make triple bogies.

Scott has the game and temperament to do something, he would just need to have things go right the whole way around.

Wind is getting up

That's what I think I saw them mention at the end of yesterday's round. It's crazy how the weather changes so much there.

So ready for this. The best golfer of my yute and arguably the best golfer of today playing late on Sunday Major.

Wow. Chapell got a horrible lie on that.

Barely missed that putt. Dang, it looked good the whole way until the very end.

Tiger finally seems calm as can be on a Sunday in a tournament this year.  I can't put my finger on it other than he just looks relaxed and dialed in.  Jordan a little punchy off the 1st tee, but have to think that's to be expected.

That said, Tiger's got a testy par putt here at 2.

There wasn’t any wind on that beach unless that was the leeward side.  That water was calm.

The commercials are ridiculous. I feel like we watch three minutes of golf and then get two minutes of commercials. Hopefully they are front-loading so we can have fewer as it comes down to the wire.

I hope this is the case, too.  Yesterday they were only running about 30 seconds of commercials near the end, and not as often as I recall.

Kisner making a mess of #2.  Double bogey almost a certainty.

Ha - he almost chipped in bogey

Hard to understate the difficulty of that approach shot by Tiger there.  Burn right up in front of the hole, got a flyer lie from some thick grass, and the wind is blowing 18-20mph downwind.  All from 128 yards.

With this wind and the firm fairways I am pretty sure Carnoustie is going to have her pound of flesh today.

Kisner going to wrong direction fast.

This may be a day where if Jordan can just play a par round, that could be enough.
