Iowa State is a horrible team, so of course we let them hang around, shoot ourselves in the foot, and have the worst refs in all of CFB.

Any body have a count of how many fouls Iowa St has been called for this entire game. I am sure I have missed a few.

you kidding me?  His cuntiness would be 6 or 7-star level if those ratings existed

need to not have 4 unbeaten teams.   If Georgia, Ohio State/Mich, FSU, and UW roll the table, game over.

Nah bro. This team will get in. Over 1 with how we dominate

On the bright side. You can't give up a 20pt lead if you don't have 20pts.

This is our concern, dude. How do we win without a large cushion.

Penalties are killing us but it’s not like they were bad calls. We committed the penalties

Meanwhile, we miss pretty easy ISU holds.  It's crap.  Texas should be better than this but they'll play to what they're given vs taking.  This team has been skating by and doing the minimum to win.  But this ISU team is so bad, so what.  Give them the shitty refs.  Hoping Texas explodes and play to fuck these bums up.

They’re really out to call  everything back on us

Um PI on Texas
No PI on State
Hand on shoulder and guy turns back and it’s called

Not a single penalty called on state obviously holding.

There is NEVER a game where one team gets every penalty and the other gets zero
Uhh, yes there is. Is this your first Texas game?

The longer it takes us to take a 20 point lead, the less time Iowa aggy has to make a comeback. Sark is playing 4d chess.

True. If you had told me yesterday we would only lose 3 points of our lead after half time I would of taken it happily.

I remember when we scored 48+ points four times in 2021 with Casey fuckin’ Thompson at QB and a decent number of JAGs on both sides of the ball from the Herman era. It sure feels like this offense has somehow regressed over the subsequent two seasons in different ways despite elite skill position players at WR, TE, and RB.

Quinn is playing like shit….a couple good passes versus multiple brain farts is not good.

I would love to see Sam with this team. Sam was a much better quarterback than Quinn.

not to mention 2 TD’s and 120 yards off offense/punt return chalked off.

No we didn't get lucky. We are not lucky at all.....we are tenacious, we are persistent.  But we are not lucky.

Ok. It’s still holding. It’s the least consistently officiated penalty but it was still holding. We need to play cleaner. It’s bullshit that the disparity is what it is but that’s no excuse for us being this sloppy.

We have the best dt in the country, he hasn’t been held once this game? What about last game? The game before that? The other team ALWAYS plays cleaner than we do? The fuck are the odds of that

Our offense plays like they have never played or practiced together. It never looks like a well oiled machine.

Don't forget Sark is an offensive genius FYI

Feels like we have been chasing lost points all dang year.  This, I’m pretty sure I have an ulcer.  If Crawford just lifts his hands in the air instead of putting them on the back of that defender, he likely doesn’t get flagged.  Banks hold was BS.  Worthy is just slight and has a hard time covering the football.
If the defense holds up, we’ll get home eventually.

This game is looking more like the Wyoming game than the Houston or TCU game.

It'll be uncomfortably close for a little longer, but we'll pull away.

We have to, or I'ma light the world on fire.  You hear me, God?

we just have to get it done in spite of the refs and we can if we stop shooting ourselves in the dick

He's done a good job of getting the ball to his playmakers.    He's called a good game.  His QB is a statue and too many penalties.

Uhh, yes there is. Is this your first Texas game?

I’ve seen almost every one since the 70’s. This is approaching 1997 Baylor, 2015 Okie State level

Honestly, I’m wondering if the close score will keep this team motivated to maintain focus in the second half. We are a clearly better team than them and if we play clean we should pull away.

Not a fan of much of the playcalling, but Quinn needs to scan the field better.

You can't go broke making a profit, they are giving us the short and intermediate routes. We need to eat those until they shift.

He also needs to calm down in the pocket, which of course, is probably why he's not seeing the field well. That sack earlier wasn't on Christian Jones. Ewers fled the pocket when he saw them arcing by, but Jones had him. When Ewers flushed forward the Edge was able to disengage from Jones and sack Ewers.

The ticky tack hold call on Banks, and yes, it was a hold, but mostly because Ewers fled the pocket and the Edge followed Ewers. Banks let go fast but not fast enough to escape the slanted ref. Their OL has held our DL a bunch already.

Man we got a long way to go to match 2015 Oklahoma State. I still think I'll go to my death with that being the biggest screw job I've ever seen in my life.

I don't wish ANY other team bad stuff like this

But just FYI, Florida State QB may have issues after todays game, which they are currently winning (but started out turrible)

Both can be true

They could be. But sort of dissonant situations.

Anyway I expected this. So far we aren't blinking and making plays.

Quinn either being unwilling or unable to run is a pretty big liability.  When they rush 3 drop 8 and all our routes are 10-20 yards down the field if they are not open there are easy yards to be had by exiting the pocket and taking them.

Quinn's poor awareness in the pocket and inability to scan the field is the biggest issue right now. Sark can artificially make Quinn take shallower routes, but you are supposed to read deep to shallow and Quinn just takes forever to come off his receivers.

49 unless you also count the 60+ yds lost on the punt return and 40 yds on the TD.

Look.  We're not saying those called on TX were wrong, but for f's sake call it both ways.

That break was Theismanish....

Without Brooks we just aren't the same.  We'll beat Tech next week but that's the only win left on the schedule.

Lose your MVP and too many other weaknesses are exposed.
