One may lose a little draft capital but will still be selected in the 1st 3 rounds...the other is losing his scholarship. Sucks to lose players like that, but the truth is that he probably wasn't going to see the field much at Texas anyway being sandwiched between Ant and Ty'Anthony. But, hopefully, Burrell has learned his lesson and can make an impact somewhere else.

May 16, 20241 yr A Bronco? lolTrue that. The new Bronco only does one thing well, and that's looking cool.

May 16, 20241 yr Man it looks cool enough it got me interested, but it’s still a Ford. If the reliability was even average I'd have some interest. In reality the only version that truly piques my interest is the Raptor, but it's powered by a twin turbo V6 (just asking for trouble) instead of the V8 it should have. Hard pass.

I thought Ford became a lot more dependable over the last 20 years? Everything in the late 90’s early 2000’s was shit but I’ve heard it’s much better. Not enough for me to buy one after my first couple cars being Ford’s that were total lemons though.

Not enough for me to buy one after my first couple cars being Ford’s that were total lemons though. I've heard the Bronco has a few issues, and even the F-150 isn't the tank it used to be. Ford overall is ranked pretty low for reliability these days.

But, the Bronco is not only a new model but a close to entirely new platform, so it's going to be buggy. That said, now that just about everyone but Toyota is going to small-displacement, direct-injected, turbocharged everything for fuel efficiency, reliability is going to take a hit.

Ford Raptor-R comes with the V8 Coyote engine. MSRP is around 111K but with the current market adjustment I've seen them upwards around 160K.
May 16, 20241 yr Ford Raptor-R comes with the V8 Coyote engine. MSRP is around 111K but with the current market adjustment I've seen them upwards around 160K.I didnt realize that, but those prices for a Ford are laughable. I'd just get a lightly used 3-4 year old F-150 Raptor for half that or less. Save money and get a more practical plaything.
May 16, 20241 yr Only thing that would've made that cooler is if he'd worn an old school Columbia blue Oilers shirt to that interview. The real UT. You're god damned right.
May 16, 20241 yr I’ve put 430,000 miles on my last two F150s while incurring maybe $4,000 in true repairs (things like brakes jobs don’t count). The lifters on my 2003 are making some noise, but I’m buying some time by adding ATF to the engine oil. I have no idea how reliable the newer F150s are, but I’ll probably get an F250 anyway. About 60% of those repairs are because my dumb ass SIL got it stuck in mud and thought he could throw it in reverse/drive/reverse a hundred times to get it unstuck. May 18, 20241 yr if he plays well at Tenn he's gonna be a fan favorite even with especially because of the UT-UT banter.

Well, my eccentric brother is still using our late dad’s 1997 Saturn SL2 sedan with 370,000 miles on the clock. (of course it has had two engine rebuilds and now an entire engine replacement, not to mention it is on its 3rd transmission).

It had the bigger motor and the transmission wasn't really sized to handle that horsepower long term. It completely crapped out in the lower 100K mile range. I bought a rebuilt and sold the vehicle soon thereafter.

July 30, 20241 yr TSweat not in shape... Tennessee Titans DL coach: T'Vondre Sweat 'not where I want him to be' Story by Mike Moraitis 1day ago One of the concerns about Tennessee Titans defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat upon coming out of college was his ability to be and stay in shape, and that was a concern entering training camp as the second-round pick missed significant time during the offseason program. When asked about Sweat's status on Monday, Titans defensive line coach Tracy Rocker revealed that the rookie is not where he wants Sweat to be as far as being in shape is concerned, but he has the right mindset, which is certainly important. Rocker added that he does see the rookie making improvements every day and he is putting forth the effort to get better. "Not where I want him to be, but he wants to be in great shape, he's doing everything we ask, and he's putting forth the effort, and he wants to," Rocker said, according to Paul Kuharsky. "So, for us, it has been great. The deal is, is just in practice everyday, we're getting better and better, but he wants to do it, so it's good." Sweat has taken part in every training camp practice thus far, and he has heard it from his teammates in regard to his conditioning when he looked a bit tired during Day 1, as Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com noted in his observations article. All eyes were on defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat at the start, considering we didn't see much of him in the offseason. The team's second-round pick showed some pretty good footwork on the bags, and he said afterward he felt good. Some of Sweat's offensive teammates razzed him a little bit at one point later in practice about being tired, but there were several guys feeling it on the first day back. By all accounts, Sweat is doing just fine at training camp and has plenty of time to get himself in game shape and acclimated to the NFL. The hope is that he'll be ready to make a significant impact in Year 1.
September 10, 20241 yr https://titansized.com/posts/t-vondre-sweat-hype-taking-off-after-titans-dt-s-dominant-debut-01j7bp3wx0ra Quote If you're looking for a silver lining from the Tennessee Titans' Week 1 collapse defeat to the Chicago Bears, it's the play of rookie defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat. Sweat was downright dominant at times. It was an impressive showing by the first-year defender.
