It never fails. The second someone goes up more than 7 points someone has to call the game over. It's a scientific law.

ARTICLE 3.

  1. To catch a ball means that a player:

    1. Secures control of a live ball in flight before the ball touches the ground, and

    2. Touches the ground in bounds with any part of his body, and then

    3. Maintains control of the ball long enough to enable him to perform an act common to the game, i.e., long enough to pitch or hand the ball, advance it, avoid or ward off an opponent, etc., and

4. Maintain control through contact with the ground

He caught it and established control outside of the endzone. Going to the ground isn’t part of the equation.

true  but i see a 10% chance that michigan fucks up against Iowa  I dont see the same chance Ohio loses* to iowa

As hilarious as that would be, Iowa is just too bad on offense. PSU has a bad offense and the time of possession in that game was 46:00 - 14:00

Only if you're immediately going to the ground in the process of attempting the catch.

If the goal line didn't get in the way, that would have been a catch and fumble. But it did. Easy call.

Does that mean everyone gets to watch something else?

UM beats whoever they play in the 1st round and then loses to uga. Osu and psu both win their bowl games. Book it.

And the winner of this game will look like Usain Bolt next to the tank without tracks that is the Iowa football team.

That has to be big 12 officials not calling that holding

And of course fox doesn't show that part of the play in the replay. Pussies.

Except that he didn’t

ball was moving the entire time

tOSU has their passing game going now. Game is in serious trouble for michigan

The rest of the world reads your post and promptly goes long on Michigan

That wasn’t worthy of a review.

These refs are Big XIIesque. That was 100% a catch

the guy on the field got it right.  the booth stopped it.

Yeah, this one only takes one angle, 5-second review.  I'm not sure why that isn't done automatically while the ball's being spotted.

That's right, Michigan fans. The Big 10 is trying to screw you with that 100% accurate call of a catch.

That  forward chains cam needs to be the standard going forward.

We need to do something about the proliferation of arrow firing taunts.

Exactly what’s wrong with the rule - no one knows what a catch is anymore

Marvin Harrison, Jr is the football version of Kevin Durant at Texas.  You can't do anything about it.

If you make a sick catch through interference like that, they should tack 10 yards onto the catch.

I want to hate on that conversative choice but you're playing over your heads right now and can try to take the points.

I actually agree past 15 yards

The ball can be moving and still be under control. And it was.

Why didn't Michigan take a timeout? To have some time in case there is a miss or a block?

Would be a good way to balance the fact that PI isnt a spot foul in college.

It’s not as tired as pointing down field to let the universe know that it’s a new first down.

I swear I haven’t seen anyone miss a kick in weeks.

Lol

Bert would have nailed that.

Texas > Ohio State

Ha. It looked like it was going out then in and then back out.

There it is.

At some point Day will have to grow a pair and go for it on 4th and short.
