Heard from a patient that Toni Price had an aneurysm a few weeks ago and passed. Y'all may not know her but she was pretty big in the Austin music scene back in the day. But, like a lot of musicians, had a substance abuse problem that caught up to her.

Growing up my dad was always my summer league coach. We threw the ball and I hit the ball for hours in our backyard and on the field. I had the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level but

I will die on a hill saying that the Chris Mullin-Patrick Ewing era was the pinnacle of college basketball. It felt like ESPN had a colossal Bkg East game every other night, or the ACC did. I concede that I was 12-13, and couldn’t get enough of college basketball at the time.

You are not wrong. The 80’s was the Golden Era of college basketball.

I played a few times at Fonde with some of those guys plus I know one of them pretty well. So, I'm partial to them over the Big East and ACC stuff.

Over the weekend between football games I went on a YouTube binge of watching old NCAA basketball highlights from my youth.  I determined that in my opinion the most exciting era was from the 1981-1982 season through the 1990-1991 season.  The era started with Phi Slamma Jamma and ended with the great UNLV team.  The Big East certainly played a big role in that time frame.  Man there were some squads during that span.

Tuesday evening Hippie Hour at Continental Club was always a great time.  RIP Toni.

That dude had a helluva career. Didn't know he was gay, nttawwt. One of his first roles on film was alongside Lee Van Cleef in The Big Combo where they played gay hitmen. Pretty salty roles to slip by censors of the day.

I just saw this movie recently on Noir Alley.

Great film.

He was also the star in the very first Twilight Zone episode and was great.

RIP

The prefered nomenclature is "Rickey gone."

Gonna have to go play some Tony LaRussa Baseball now on the emulator in honor of Rickey. Man that guy was one of the greatest athletes in American sports history. I vividly remember watching the A’s as a child with Rickey leading the way for them. So much talent on that 89 team, but he was still the best of them all. RIP Rickey.

I don't know if this counts but I saw this and thought the question asked in the headline was kind of funny.

The crocodile from 'Crocodile Dundee' dies at 90, but is Paul Hogan still alive? https://t.co/RsLevdvfy0
Spoiler

to be fair, the original rules posted on the old site clearly stated that anyone with a valid wiki page was considered a celebrity.

She will forever be my Juliet.  My 16 year-old self didn't care that this movie was already 15 or 20 years old when I saw it in high school, although I was annoyed that the nude scenes were cut. By the time we saw it in class, it had taken on this mythology that was insane and didn't live up to the hype. I never could find the VHS of this in high school, either from Blockbuster or to buy.

She was hot in Black Christmas, and was one of those types who got hotter the older they got.

Did get a copy of Black Christmas on VHS taped off of one of the movie channels.
