I mean they’re making everything too so that doesn’t help.

Because they are wide fucking open, leisurely lining up 3-point shots.

Shaka can try to act all vindicated and defiant but he has nobody to blame but himself for his failure to win a single tournament game at Texas in 6 years.

Some of these shots from DEEP the guards are taking should get them benched.

It’s been going on all season.

This is a a message board myth. He has no interest in any job except where he is currently at. That is widely known (well apparently not)

Also, fuck Kelvin Sampson in his cheating Okie ass.

I'd bench Hunter to start the next game. Nobody as bad as him deserves to start 82 straight.

He’s the least of our issues.

I’d like to see Weaver locked in a room with that cocky preppy for about 5 minutes.  Of course, that may end up in a life sentence so nevermind.

He's a big fucking issue.  He gets big minutes and can't score, defend, or protect the ball.

Indeed.  He is terrible.

Oh, I agree. I just think the fish rots from the head.

I've said this before, but Shaka Smart is basketball Jeff Fisher.

He's good with the media, so they like him, so they tout him as a good coach.  And he's got that one deep postseason run.  But he's otherwise been a below average coach for an entire career.  Yet the myth that he's a good coach persists, because the people whose job it is to look at the numbers and be analytical give him a pass, because they just like him so much.

I don’t think this Shaka team would lose to them. But I agree with what was said earlier. He’s been very successful ant Marquette and he was successful before he came to Texas. But his time at Texas was mediocre at best.

Yikes. This was an unholy ass-kicking. Because Disu is out and the early foul trouble on Hunter and Shedrick, I'll reserve from making any far-reaching conclusions, but this defense is a concern. Can't keep anyone in front of them and take off for every ball fake.

It's early yet. Hope better things are to come.

He's proven he can assemble talent.  They are top to bottom way more talented than us.   And most of his Texas teams were pretty talented.  He's just not a good offensive coach.  His crutch with this team is that white kid.  He doesn't really need to do anything with that kid on the floor.

But even with the above considerations, an ass whooping of this proportion?

My 7 year old’s basketball team shows more effort on perimeter defense.

Goddamn everybody bagging on Shaka like he took his dick out and fucked Bevo at midcourt.  Mediocre didn’t win here yeah we know, the guy is not a bad guy.

And looks like he’s assembled a good team.

this is correct.  he is a non issue because he is basically invisible.

We sure do miss Carr. Somebody capable of taking the ball out of Hunter's hands and bringing it up the court.

It was pretty obvious we got forced into Terry.  Terry's resume is/was basically meh, IMO but one game doesn't mean much.  get Disu back and see what he can do this year.  maybe he will surprise us.

I believe CDC will be ready if needed.  Basketball should be one of the easier sports to turn around in a year or 2.
