December 18, 20232 yr This is great. Also, never realized what Lukas Nelson brought to the table. Impressive.
December 18, 20232 yr I missed it, except for the first few (up thru half of Chris Stapleton). I had DVRed 60 minutes but let it run long. No other episodes set to run, either. Beck was impressive. So was Stapleton. Sheryl Crow has balls of steel to sing "Crazy". She did well, though.
December 18, 20232 yr It comes on here at 830 and I will be watching. Meanwhile, it's "Rio Lobo" Edited December 18, 20232 yr by Gil Bang
December 18, 20232 yr Billy Strings has a very punchable face. Dude's got talent for sure, but he's like nice-fitting slacks that leave you with chafed balls.
December 18, 20232 yr I fucking love Norah Jones, but honey, lay off the naan for a while and mix in a salad.

December 18, 20232 yr The fucking Dixie Chicks look like Wilson Phillips, except the fat one in Wilson Phillips didn't have a stupid hairstyle.
December 18, 20232 yr Fucking Keith. Arguably the greatest Rock and Roll icon that ever lived, and nobody loves Country Music more than he.
December 18, 20232 yr Watched it with the old lady last night. Beck was surprisingly good. Dave Matthews rearrangement was enjoyable. His story was funny. Stapleton was vanilla. Lukas has an astoundingly clear voice and is a good musician. Jamey Johnson is Jamey Johnson. He don’t give a shit. Warren Haynes is a monster guitarist. The rest were meh although good to see Keef up and around. Rosanne and Kris was heartbreaking.
December 18, 20232 yr If anyone hears about a rebroadcast or even a youtube video of the whole show, please post it here in this thread.

December 18, 20232 yr Also, when the song-a-long started, I saw Charlie Crockett in the conga line. CBS must have thought he didn’t rate well.

December 18, 20232 yr Who is the guitarist in that backing band. Not Tom Bukovac but the strat player. I've seen him in several shows when Don Was was the music coordinator but no idea who it is. Only bad thing about Willie's show was it was done in LA and all of the Hollywood types announcing acts. Did see Neuheisel in the crowd. I recorded the last hour so hopefully, they will at least list the credits of the band. Also, I was watching that shit show CMA Country Christmas and Harmoni Kelley was playing bass in that band. So happy for her. Assholes didn't run the credits at the end or introduce the band.

December 19, 20232 yr Tench and Bukovac works for me...missed the intro & had no idea who the singer with the prop guitar was but Beck did a passable job. Great song.

December 19, 20232 yr Man this is unreal. Roseanne & Kris -- holy shit, that brought major tears. What a man. What a woman. It's nice to see Gary Clark Jr. firmly in that upper echelon of players in terms of recognition. His "Texas Flood" was a little more Jimmie than Stevie. Cool song choice. Jamey Johnson crushed it on "Georgia On My Mind". I even liked Dave Matthews, which is not something you'll see me cop to often. When Lukas opens his mouth to sing, even though we know what's coming . . . double holy shit! Apples, trees. Just astonishing.

December 20, 20232 yr Still, they should have gotten Bruce Robison to do What Would Willie Do. That is a better, more clever song than "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me" and "Sing One With Willie". But at least he got Charley on there.
December 20, 20232 yr The full show is also available on Apple music. Gave most of it a listen yesterday. 20 hours ago, jimmyjazz said: Chris Stapleton? He's a great player, it seems like he just decided not to play that night. I noticed that too, seemed unusual for him.
