That's nuts.  My Epson 5050UB "4K" projector cost $3k and it's entry-level.

But I guess if you're looking for a shitty big screen projector for your garage or outdoor patio at night with all the lights off and don't want to care if anyone steals it...

Here you go.  Probably looks decent after a six pack or a few shots.

Hah, the wireless HDMI setup for anyone too lazy to run HDMI outside, will probably cost more than the projector.

The Cat5 baluns are getting pretty cheap lately, though.

Why run it off a balun outside. Plug it into a $29 portable DVD player.

It has 250 lumens. Thus the price.

I have a $7 flashlight with more lumens than this thing.

Yep. That explains everything.

I need to tally my gift cards when I get home, I might have enough for this.

I have a cheap one for outdoor movies.  I think I paid $120 for it like 4 years ago. Works perfectly fine. I just plug in a Roku stick directly into the HDMI port and stream whatever.  I bought a $50 soundbar for audio.  At the price point, it was a great purchase. I don't even have to give a shit about it. Just toss it on the shelf in the workshop between uses. If it dies, it dies.

There are a couple YT reviews of this. For the money it's damn good. I ordered one a few days ago.

I wonder if you could open it up and replace the lamp with your flashlight

It’s made by Canadian importer named Curtis International that has the license for RCA on TVs and cheap projectors. RCA hasn’t been a real company in over a decade.

Yes, that's exactly how projector bulb assemblies work.

That's a good idea.  Something to leave out there at all times, so anyone can use it.

I've got whole-house audio & video, so my audio/video sources are everywhere.
It was a massive PITA running all the cabling for it.  I used one cat5 balun but the rest are all HDMI.
