Nelly and Zhang were a rolling ball of butcher knives yesterday afternoon. -10 on best ball in 14 holes.

Yesterday was the anti Ryder Cup. USA was dropping huge putts and knocking shots stiff. It was awesome. But long way to go.

Maybe Stacy Lewis should be the Ryder Cup captain.

A 2-2 split in the morning foursomes with a couple of nice comeback points for the Americans. U.S. leads 8-4

It’s stupid that NBC seldom puts up a graphic showing the status of the match they are showing.

Playoff at Wentworth on GC. Rory, Billy Ho and Thriston Lawerence.

Rory's had a rough couple tournaments. I think he needs to get on the cocktail waitress and vicodin diet.

Spanish Open is going on over on the DP World Tour. Nice course: Club de Campo Villa in Madrid.  Decent field.  But the big news is that Jon Rahm is playing.  He needs to play DP events to be eligible for the Ryder Cup next year.  Good to see him playing in a real tournament, and contending.

I think it would be awesome to plan a weekend outing playing the Dunhill Cup courses, and drink some scotch.

There were some guys taking St. Andrew's to the fucking cleaners today. Not sure they have it dialed up quite the same as they would for The Open.

They really can't, because it is a pro-am, and it would be 6+ hour round of half the field had to play in open conditions, plus weather plays a big part there.

New season - figure I'd fire up the 2025 thread.

Or wait - maybe they changed it and it doesn't start til January now?

If so delete thread ban user.

Such disrespect for the Sanderson Farms

Well, it kinda starts now, but not really. It’s qualifying events or some shit for next year. So kinda 25.

A few Longhorns playing -- please  let me know if I missed any  🤘

Hossler, Ghim, and Vegas

Sanderson Farms Championship

Beau Hossler ties it going into 18.

Trying to get his first pro win.

And he fucking yacks it behind a tree down 18.

I can see why he's never won.

Hossler gets to a playoff but barring a miracle is going to lose it to Kevin Yu on the first hole.

This may be the best video I've seen when it comes to showing just how good the pros are. Bryson is playing Grant Horvat and every shot Bryson hits they use a random number generator to decide what club he hits. Grant plays it straight up (and he's a very, very good am).

They aren't 2 holes in before it's just ridiculous the shit Bryson is pulling off with a completely jacked up club selection.

(I skipped a lot of them chatting between shots - Grant seems nice but he's kind of a square)

Course they're playing this week is bad fucking ass. Worth turning on for a bit just for the scenery. The golf is obviously barely watchable this time of year.

Beginning around 18:10 mark of the video he tees off with a putter on a par 5 and hits it around 280y.

And then hits driver off the deck on a 600 yard par 5 to just off of the green.

The other crazy thing was how you can hand him any iron out of his bag and he has extremely little drop off putting with it vs his putter.

Quick update on the fall shoulder season, and a note to J Monahan, there have been several events including one this past weekend. I have no idea who won, or really who was playing.

I think the Tiger Invitational comes up sometime soon, otherwise see you in January. When Scottie, X, Collin, Hideki, Vik and the guys tee it up again.

from this point through the rest of the year, i'll be watching the DP World Tour and Australian events.  DP World Tour Championship in Dubai starts late tonight.  good field there.

Well thanks for making my Saturday night/Sunday morning into an all-nighter.

Looks like I can go straight from the west coast college football games to the final round of the DP World Tour Championship

About what? Viewership is down, nobody watches the liv tour, and yet these guys demand to be paid as if they're the most entertaining and interesting people in the world.

Golf is a great sport because you get paid by how you perform on the golf course. If you want to be paid more, play better. And if you're a really popular player, start a YouTube channel and profit greatly from that. We didn't need to have liv golf. It's a product that nobody asked for.

He was right

There was a lot of money out there and the majority of it should go to the players. 5 years ago nobody thought it would be the Saudis sports washing their billions; Phil thought the PGA Tour had the ability to raise prize money. And he needed access to it for his gambling debt repayment.

Never further Phil is a degenerate gambler, nttawwt.

The only reason that sport was in the place it was was because of one guy. There will not be another Tiger. Scottie is great but he's not Tiger. The PGA Tour spending all of its money on "star" players is a dumb idea because none of those guys is going to be Tiger. You give guys money like that because you think there will be a return on your investment. I find a lot of the current crop of players to be delusional in their self-importance.

They created the "PIP bonus" to satiate this weird demand and guess what. It ends up just being a bonus for Tiger who plays 3 times a year. If I was an up and coming aspiring professional golfer trying to make it on the PGA Tour that wouldn't sit well with me. Especially now that they are cutting down the number of Tour cards they give out. Seems odd for a "growing" sport with so much money to be retracting and taking opportunities away from guys.

biggest week off the off season - Scottie & Rory vs Bryson & Brooksie on Tuesday (meh), and Tiger and Charlie in the PNC Championship (I would go to this event if I could, but I would follow Lee Trevino at the range and around the course, and buy him a drink or three after if I had the chance)

I’m going to watch. Shadow Creek, Charles in the booth, great players

Not a lot of the yucking it up that you usually have in these type of matches. I guess $10M in crypto to the winners makes one pay attention. Also, these Shadow Creek greens are hard and fast.

Going pretty much as expected. Nice course though.

Google says $1,250 to play it.

This is a pretty good watch. The format is 6 holes of best ball, 6 of alternate shot and two 6 hole singles matches. Each segment is worth a point. Rory and Scottie ( mostly Rory) win the first segment 3 and 2.

Been kind of watching but Barkley just saying it’s ironic for Liv players trying to kill people was funny when they both drilled spectators on a par 3

BDC is getting his ass kicked so he takes off his earpiece and goes radio silent Such a bitch.
