Daly, at this point, is a circus show and a non-factor

Still technically in the field. Most of those guys don't have a realistic chance at winning.

I mean, Tiger isn't far off from being a circus show and non-factor...

Bookies, Sports books, gambling apps and fantasy golf leagues are figuring out what to do with Scheffler - if he can't make his tee time

I watched about 5 minutes of Golf Network coverage last night, and heard that Valhalla is a boring course, boring set up and it is looking like it could be a boring tournament,

Scottie driving in to work today has changed that whole narrative; people who don't follow golf are now seeing this on their news feeds. Good job by the PGA of America at finding a way to spice up their little event here this week in Kentucky.

Obviously this mornings' trauma has affected Scottie's game - he birdied the 1st hole, yesterday he eagled his first hole.

I’m on no power and almost no signal. If anyone wants to comment / post highlights here. I’ll be reading

Only posting Scottie's scores.

Funny, Scottie hit his tee shot on 16 and immediately threw up his left arm and pointed as if it was flying into the crowd.  Ball caught the left edge of the fairway and settled nicely.

He tee’d off on 10 ?

Yes he started on the back.

Great 2nd shot on 16, then burned an edge.  Another par

Damn no wifi suuuuuuucks

my plan today was knee deep in 🐱 and watch golf

Just guess. You have a 50% chance since 95% of the posts here are about one of the two.

The Hideki.

Corrin looking good out there. Let's see if he can hole it together this weekend.

I'm watching the Sky Sports stream of the PGA. Clark was chipping. The dude says Clarks chipping has sucked and call him "Edward Scissorhands" hoping Clark would prove him wrong. Clark duffs his chip. Dude goes, "Edward Scissorhands lives".

He should buddy up to Rory. Rory needs Rahm for the Ryder Cup and is all chummy with Liv dudes for that reason.

Brian Harman is -4 on the day and he's had 3 lip outs on birdie attempts.

What he hit ?

I went back and looked, it was just over 200 yds and he hit a 6 iron.

and got the birdie, -7

nice

when in watching I always think about what I would hit. 3 iron if I can run it up or 5 wood

All 3 in the group, Scheffler, Harman, and Clark, poor tee shots on the par 3 3rd.  Sitting next to each other in the front bunker.

What is the consensus on Scotties' presser today?
a) he skips it to get away from the frenzy
b) he shows up with his attorney

That's a firm 5i for me.

Granted it's probably landing 18 yards right of the pin in the shit.

I stopped doing that years ago, just too big a difference.

On the rare occasion that I watch women's golf, I'll do that.  But even that is starting to get depressing.  10 years ago I used to be on par (get it?) with the best women as far as distance, but now they sometimes are 1 or even 2 clubs less.

Sheffler goes to -8

I would guess he makes a general statement about an unfortunate or regrettable incident but says he can't go into details.  Then again this is an unpredictable world.

If I’m Scottie, I’m pretty stoked I now know I only need ~25 minutes to warm up before first tee and can now sleep in for 3-4 extra hours on those early tee times

Scottie flew the green on 5.  That's the first green he's missed, outside of the par 3's, I think all day.

he needs to skip, his case is pending

or, let the press know he can not / will not talk about anything that happened off the golf course

Damn near chipped it in, stopped an inch from the cup.  Taking par.  -8
