May 18, 20241 yr Lowry shoots a 62 with pars on both of the par 5s on the back nine. if the course is as gettable tomorrow as it is today, somebody could go super low and post a score with the leaders still out there. 5 back of whatever the lead is should still be in play.

Doubt the course will allow better than a 65 tomorrow... no more rain, and high of 85 degrees for Sunday's final Rd. Expect the course will likely be set up to be more difficult, and they will also try to speed up the greens tomorrow.

May 19, 20241 yr Yeah he shows some emotion. Xander and Colin are freaking robots. It’s why Spieth is still captivating despite his total form slump for three years

Shooting a 65 today would be a great score, but someone getting on a heater and shooting a lower score is definitely available.

Just not challenging or interesting enough.

May 19, 20241 yr Valhalla has turned a major into something like the 3M Open. Where literally any player could possibly finish double digits under par. I hate it.

It’s a pretty course, but the challenge to professionals just isn’t there. That’s why they have to have a 260yd par 3, or 600+ par 5’s, etc. Other courses do that for PGA events, sure, but when it’s a major it should be an ass kicker. I’d play there, absolutely. But pros chewing it up isn’t what a major should be about.
