Rookie year on PGA.  His 3rd start this year.

Pebble Beach weather looks atrocious, especially today. This course is gonna be super wet. Sunday is gonna be fun to watch, but miserable to play in.

Shit yes it was. Finau, hitting driver, only carried 250? THAT is some fucking wind.

The 7th hole at Pebble is a 106 yard par 3.

I was going by the tracer display. Said carry was 256. I assumed he was fucking around.

Yeah... he was fucking around. He sawed that way off but still...trackman said it should have gone 256 and it didn't even go 100.

Oh. Didn’t see that from my phone.

If so, that’s 10x as bad.

Doesn't really look like much fun to play there this weekend, or into next week.
The weather kinda reminds of at trip to Southern Pines NC, only it was about 25 degrees colder

Rounds are gonna be long as shit with that weather and a bunch of am's out there.

I think Ams only get to play thurs/Fri now that it is a signature event or whatever. So at least they won't be out there on Sunday when it looks like it is going to be absolutely brutal.

Jesus. Ams are gonna have no shot. Most of the pros are going to eat shit.

Rory sucking his way around Pebble, nice weather and he is slipping further down the board.

What a shitty round. Pumps it out on 4. Bogeys 1 and 12. That's just not good golf.

I can do that!

Yeah -10 through 11 with 2 par 5s left. Didn't know if they can be reached with the conditions but should be good opportunities.

Clark is firing on all cylinders - making putts 38 & 42 feet for eagle, 29, 24 and 15 ft for birdie and 3 more birdies from inside 10 ft. Guess that US Open wasn't as fluky as it seemed at the time. Damn he is on fire, and yet Jason Day is -8 (with a bogey) through 14 to get into the top 5.

14 is never reachable and 18 is only on rare occasions.

Another one. And sounds like he might be able to reach the green on 14. Bogey probably takes 59 out of the discussions, but maybe not with the way he's putting.

3 straight right in the jar, short. But what a fucking round. I know it was ball in hand,  but still. All the golf played there and he sets the record. Unreal.

Not sure they’ll finish tomorrow. Rain, lightning and wind gusts up to 60 mph pretty much all day are forecasted.

TOUR REPORT:
Chief Referee of the PGA TOUR, Gary Young just announced the game plan to the media.

The course & conditions will be assessed tomorrow morning at 5am PST. Players will notified by 5:15am PST.  High winds and 2-3" of rain are expected. If play is delayed, the next update will be at 9:30am PST and play at that point would not begin until after noon PST. There will be no spectators on Sunday.

If play extends into Monday, they must start by 10:15 local time to complete the final round. If they know they cannot complete round 4, it will become a 54-hole event.

That's the deal.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Final round delayed by weather

With a potentially historic storm system hitting California on Sunday, the final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has been suspended.

The final round will now start no earlier than 10 a.m. PT, with the potential for further delays to come as high winds and heavy rains hit the California coast. The tournament also has announced that the course is closed to spectators and volunteers, and all tournament facilities are currently closed.

Wyndham Clark holds a one-shot lead over Ludvig Åberg after shooting a course-record 60 on Saturday. His record round may be enough to give him his third PGA TOUR title if the tournament cannot resume. Clark also won last year’s Wells Fargo Championship and U.S. Open.

“The wind is our biggest concern right now for safety,” Gary Young, the PGA TOUR’s chief referee, told Golf Channel on Saturday night. “I think we’ve made pretty good adjustments to green speeds that we could probably keep balls at rest up until about 40 mph. Once we get north of that it’s going to be pretty difficult. If we get those rain amounts I’m talking about, that will probably play into the decision as well.”

Pebble Beach is expected to receive several inches of rain and wind gusts up to 60 mph on Sunday. The course also is expected to receive close to a half-inch of rain on Monday morning. Young told Golf Channel that the final round would need to start by 10:15 a.m. PT on Monday to be completed.

“We’re already dealing with a very soggy golf course and at that point, we’re making the decision whether or not we think that the standards for professional golf are there,” Young told Golf Channel.

Carmel is twice as close to LA as it is to Portland. It's twice as close to Mexico as it is to Canada. It isn't "northwest".

It ain’t happening Monday either. We are supposed to get all kind of F’d up here.

But Tacoma is half as far to LA as it is to Anchorage, Alaska.
