Couldn’t find a thread. Going for work tomorrow and Friday and will be staying downtown.

Any good recs for dinner and drinks in that area? I’m going to just Uber it so I’ll stay in that vicinity.

Much appreciated.

The locals won't accept it but their BBQ just isn't up to Texas standards.  That said Q39 and Jack's Stack are pretty good exemplars of the style.

Yeah there’s nothing decent there...BBQ or otherwise.  I lived there for about 3 years not too long ago and it fucking suuuhhhcks.

That said, there is a bar downtown called The Peanut that has by far, hands down, the best wings I’ve ever had.  They were amazing and I’d give just about anything to have them again.  Best thing in town by far.

Actually, there was also a pretty cool little mafia Italian place out in like Leewood or something where you could kind of step straight into The Godfather.  Can’t remember the name though.

The Peanut is right around the corner from the hotel and is more my style. Will check it out.
Thx

I’m at the Marriott downtown until Saturday.  Hit me up if you go looking for adventure.

If you like sushi Drunken Fish is in the Power and Light district and is really good. 801 Chophouse is too and the steaks are great. Tavernona is Italian at one of the hotels. Just south of downtown there are great restaurants: Novel, Michael Smith's, Lidia's, Extra Virgin. If you want to venture out of the area there are a bunch of choices. KC has much better food than you might expect. PM me if you want any specifics or more info.

Or, you can fuck right off and I’ll wreck shop alone.

Report back.  Curious to know if they’re still good.

Nah...The Peanut wings.  That’s about it.  Although given the lack of reporting back...I wonder if they’re even still there
