I'd like to have some hot coffee for about 8 hours. Anyone have a recommendation?

A new coffee maker with one it drips into isn't out of the question, but I've never heard of one that worked real well. Hot for hours well, at least.

The trick is to preheat the thermos.   I used to start my coffee and a kettle of water on the stove at the same time.  As I poured my first cup, I'd dump the kettle of boiling water into the thermos.

When I was ready to leave, I dumped out the water, and filled the thermos with coffee.    It stayed hot all day.

Gotta preheat.
