Three amazing match point saves by Navone before finally succumbing to Rune just now.

Next up, Dani C vs ?????.

It's well past midnight and Collins v Danilovic are still playing. Danilovic reminds me the retired serb Ivanovic with her long legs

Federer's tribute to Nadal. If anyone needs me, I'll be over here letting the dust in my house get to me. "As you get ready to graduate from tennis, I've got a few things to share before I maybe

That was a hell of a 3rd set and a hell of a tie-breaker to cap it off.

That Danielovic (sp?) can play when she isn’t letting nerves overtake her. She can crush it.

But Danimal gets her 14 win in a row and she’s on to the 3rd round.

Coco has been in a rut this year. Losing to a ball basher like Keys on clay might be a new low. Also, Coco just basically handed Keys a spot on team USA for the Olympics.

Struff v Álcaraz

Start of the 3rd set tie-breaker.

Carlos up 2-0 now.

EDIT: 3-0

Edited by Napoleon

Tie-breaker went:

Álcaraz 3 - 0 Struff

Álcaraz 3 - 4 Struff

Álcaraz 7 - 4 Struff

Madison Keys is putting on a clinic on how to shit the bed when the pressure is on.

Jabeur 6

Keys .. 0

On to the second set.

On to the second set.

Commentators have often said it’s better to win a set 6-1 than 6-0 (unless it’s a final set). There’s something mental about it. Keys turned around that match and won in 3

That was quite possibly the craziest third set I’ve seen this year, & I’ve seen a lot.

Someone better have eyes on Yulia in the locker room.

Elena serving at 1-2 in the decider against Yulia now. Talk about contrasting styles.

Two Ruskies playing for Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 🇰🇿 .

Blowing that match must be rough…

…but now we know that when given the opportunity…

…she’s more than capable of blowing it.

Keys tried the same tactic - get blown out in the first set and come back and win.  Iga didn't get the memo and won the second as well (6-1,6-3).

Just watched the end of the 2nd set and the tie-breaker and Korda totally carried Jordan Thompson’s ass.

Korda was unstoppable on serve. Thompson was pure shit on his serve and also liked to hit the ball into the net or out. But they pulled it out and they had big smiles in their interview after the match.

Genie is playing in a tiny ITF gray clay tourney in Fla, smoked a no-name today.

Also playing doubles with Fanny Stollar, that’s an attractive pair.

Ons has been coming out of her slump (health issues?) and yet our little Femme Nikita managed to beat her in 3.

We knew there was more to the story.

This week, Italian tennis player Camila Giorgi, who achieved a ranking of No. 26 in the world, abruptly retired without a statement giving a reason why.

On Saturday, La Gazzetta dello Sporto, an Italian newspaper, reported that retirement is not a coincidence.

According to the report, The Guardia di Finanza, Italy's financial police, is looking for Giorgi and investigating her nonpayment of taxes and undeclared income.

Authorities are also investigating Giorgi's family members, including her mother, father and two brothers, all of whom are alleged to have "gaps" in their tax return filings.

Giorgi, 32, has not been seen since her retirement was announced May 7. The last time she competed in a tournament was last month at the Miami Open, where she was routed 6-1, 6-1 by Iga Swiatek in the second round.

Giorgi is already under investigation for allegedly forging her COVID-19 vaccine documentation to gain entry to the 2022 Australian Open and was scheduled to appear before a judge in Italy on July 16.

According to the newspaper report, Giorgi and her family are on the run and are believed to be in the United States.

Whole family has always been nuts.

Rafael Nadal got bent over and reamed out.

6 6 Hurkacz

1 3 Nadal

Also, Tiafoe is falling and Korda is rising. I think that the Top 4 Americans qualify for the Olympics as the rankings stand after the French Open (as it is with the women). There is a possibility that Korda nudges Tiafoe out of that 4th spot, with Fritz, Shelton, and Paul being pretty locked into the top 3 spots.

Korda & Fritz matchup tomorrow (Sunday).
