Road win at Arkansas but also home losses to High Point and Marshall.

They shoot the 3 at a pretty high level (even higher if you include their 2 games against non-D1 opponents).

That little run with 3 bigs on the floor was promising

Nice to have Disu back

I like shed at the 5, disu as the stretch 4 and Mitchell as the 3

WTF   We are running a pick and roll offense against a 3-2 zone.   Just put Brock at the FT line and Disu on the baseline.

He’s really good at a few things and pretty bad at a lot of others.

Horton should not be getting minutes on a Texas basketball team

I was just about to say something about Hortons defense improving, and then the guy drives right past him for a layup. SMH. 🤦

UNCG throws the ball out of bounds

the guy who threw it out of bounds yells at his teammate for it

everyone on the court walks down to the other end because of the turnover

the referee: “uncg ball!”

nope. his basketball IQ is lower than i thought it would be, and he’s pretty limited outside of scoring. also frustrating that he basically never gets to the line.

Horton and Abmas on the floor together is a big negative for us on the defensive end

Am I the only one who gets frustrated by Abmas?

No. He has not played up to his resume and hype yet … he’s been below average on defense and handling the ball and his shot selection has been less than expected so far

Overall good half defensively. Offensive issues when they went zone for a few minutes but the defense was much better.

The length with the big lineup (Mitchell, Disu, and Shedrick) gave us more length on the perimeter and inside. Maybe that's what we need.

tyrese was a one man highlight reel that half. the rest of the team-eh. but man, that was his best half of play in a long time.

Great intensity on the defensive end pretty much that entire half

Definitely improvement there

Agreed. The offense stalling out when UNC-G switched to zone was frustrating, but the defensive effort is much more important.

We only gave up 1 open 3 and 1 mid range jumper that half. Everything else was contested. We need more of that defensive effort.

It makes a little sense. This big lineup (Disu, Shedrick, and Mitchell) has only played probably 5 minutes together all season.

Trying to figure out spacing against the zone.

I hate to be that guy but UNC Greensboro's run also started right when Horton came into the game. He got the hook after a few minutes.

It was also the Horton and Abmas combo again that ignited the run. RT has to stop playing these two together.

Only one of these two should be on the floor at one time. I honestly am not understanding what Horton is doing to get minutes over others they have on the bench.

I hope this game is a lesson for Abmas. He's not doing much offensively but he's giving great effort defensively.

You can win playing this way. Scoring 20 with zero defense doesn't do anything for you.

Amazing what happens when our guards prevent dribble penetration. This is the best they've defended all year.

Even 80% of tonight’s Hunter with the three bigs clicking on the court makes this team look like one with a viable sweet 16 chance

Texas found something with this big lineup.

Just so much more length and completely disrupting UNC Greensboro on the defensive end.

I would feel a lot better about that sentiment if I knew Texas defense would play consistently as well as it has tonight.

Thing is I think it's somewhat sustainable.

It's amazing what happens when Horton's lack of defense is just sitting on the bench and not hurting the team.

love seeing mitchell pass up the open three with uncg daring him to take it. three seconds later he’s got an offensive rebound and a bucket.

disu with his third three of the game.
